Sarah Palin on Katie Couric's CBS exit: 'I read that in a newspaper'

Palin Katie Couric, you can rest assured: Sarah Palin is still reading newspapers!

The former vice presidential candidate, and Fox News contributor, appeared Wednesday in a segment of "On the Record With Greta Van Susteren" and mockingly sent well wishes to the retiring evening news anchor. Couric announced Tuesday she was leaving "CBS Evening News" to focus on more "multidimensional storytelling."

"I think I read that in a newspaper, one of many newspapers that I read online," Palin said. "Yes, and I hear that she wants to now engage in more multidimensional storytelling versus, I guess, just the straight-on read into that teleprompter screen storytelling. So more power to her. I wish her well with her multidimensional storytelling."

You'll recall, prior to the 2008 presidential election, Couric conducted a series of interviews with Palin, including one notorious question about which specific newspapers she read daily.

Show Trackers, what do you think of Palin's adieu to Couric?

If you want to check it out for yourself, forward to around minute 15.

she needs to shut up and make me a sandwhich

Sarah tells us so much about herself in this interview. She tells us that she is vindictive, mean-spirited, and sarcastic. These are negative traits that bullies possess, NOT leaders!

Sarah Palin smirk's at others that use teleprompters... she's too classy and smart for that!.... instead she writes notes on the palm of her hand! Now that's a smart?? person!
Sarah you fail.

Sarah Palin your day has come and gone.
You made big bucks by attacking Pres. Obama on every issue.
Now give it a rest, make yourself useful. Find a cause that will
promote healing and understanding. Pres. Obama stood up for
you when others blamed you for the attack on Cong. Gifford .
I hope you move on.

Such a sophomoric, scorned and immature person. Palin, you don't always have to say something just because you think it. As my grandmother used to say, 'better to keep silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt'.

Careful Sarah, Your horns are showing. Gosh, there has never been a person in the public eye so easy to dislike since ---oh yes, Michele Bachman, Ann Coulter and the hilarious Glenn Beck. Throw in Rush, Sean, John and Billy Boy and what a (Tea) Party that woud be. Oh to (not) be a fly on that wall...lol

What a sad individual you are, Mrs. Pailin. What a waste of humanity. I feel pitty for you.

Man Fox News couldn't get much worse could they...and Sarah Palin...why is she even around still? It just shows how weak the GOP is when scum like Sarah Palin are still lingering...well I guess scum like Newt is still floating around the GOP too...

She says she read it in a newspaper, that paper got a name? Man, she is bitter!! And here is one republican who is glad to see the real sarah, and not to happy w/ that!!!!!!!

It saddens me to see people are so mean. I'm sorry to see there is nothing Sarah Palin could say that would redeem her in the eyes of the Show Tracker readers. So she got a bit snarky. She's just giving back a little. Isn't that what is being asked of us all... to give back a little? Oh, I'm sorry, that's just our money.

typical clueless comment from same like commentee-obviously she was bored out of her skull and had to comment about something!!! lol lol lol!!!!!! needs to work on her and hers

JEEEZ, Couric asked $arah a QUESTION....a simple one. Sarah is the one that gave the answer. Get over it, $arah!

The public is finally coming around to seeing the true petty Sarah Palin. I was compelled to create a visual commentary about all of her negative rhetoric and its effects on my artist's blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/01/sarah-palin-made-me-do-it.html Drop by and let me know what you think.

"The Drudge Report" and Hannity's website don't qualify as "online newspapers," Sarah ....
