Sarah Palin on Katie Couric's CBS exit: 'I read that in a newspaper'

Palin Katie Couric, you can rest assured: Sarah Palin is still reading newspapers!

The former vice presidential candidate, and Fox News contributor, appeared Wednesday in a segment of "On the Record With Greta Van Susteren" and mockingly sent well wishes to the retiring evening news anchor. Couric announced Tuesday she was leaving "CBS Evening News" to focus on more "multidimensional storytelling."

"I think I read that in a newspaper, one of many newspapers that I read online," Palin said. "Yes, and I hear that she wants to now engage in more multidimensional storytelling versus, I guess, just the straight-on read into that teleprompter screen storytelling. So more power to her. I wish her well with her multidimensional storytelling."

You'll recall, prior to the 2008 presidential election, Couric conducted a series of interviews with Palin, including one notorious question about which specific newspapers she read daily.

Show Trackers, what do you think of Palin's adieu to Couric?

If you want to check it out for yourself, forward to around minute 15.

I'm sure someone had to read it to her.

2012 Campaign Slogan for "Trump / Palin" is "You're Fired / I Quit".

Katie Couric is a true lightweight. Cute and fluffy like a kitten, when doing the morning fluff of today, but lacked any presence on the CBS Evening News. Nobody cares, she should just go back to one of the breakfast shows. I'd rather see crazy old Dan Rather than miss goody two shows.

What a nut case. I think Americans would like to see the Alaskan queen competing on "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?" I for one always listen in on whatever she has to say. It makes for great comedy. Maybe when America is done asking the President to prove his nationality, they could ask her to prove that she has successfully completed grade school.
Also, when answering media questions, she should not be permitted to use words she can't spell or understand but, then again, that's part of what makes her so entertaining.
If you freeze the frame at @ the 3:51 mark, you will notice that she had notes written in her left hand....... again.
We, up here in Canada, do hope that the Right choose her to lead them into the next election....................more great comedy...........and a slam dunk victory for Obama. It's always preferable that our neighbour have a thoughtful, compassionate leader.

News item: Palin read a newspaper!!

I wonder if she knows the names of any of those online newspapers? What an idiot. She acts less mature than my four year old nephew.

OMG! She can read!

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

cat fight anyone?

How unfortunate for america, particularly white america, to have revealed to the world that Trump and Palin represent your very best leadership. Imagine the likes of these two attempting to interact with cultured, sophisticted world leaders with the highest education, diplomacy and manners. The hubris and ignorance to undermine the presidency of your own homeland--no doubt that the world has smelled the vulnerable state of america. china, russia, india, the middle east and africa will have the last laugh!

Hatred has finally defeated America--the fall is near and certain!

I hope Sarah runs again, she will not need a topic, she can make it up as she goes along.

Why does this half-wit keep talking?! WHO CARES LOOOOOOSER!

The big news here is that Palin can apparently read.

Those writers for FOX are sure funny!

Palin's like the stuck-up junior high girl that runs for class president, only to lose, making her world fall apart. She then makes it her mission to go after those responsible for showing us what an airhead she was.

Shrill and petty. That's quintessential Palin.

I saw that interview. She leveled Obama a little bit, said that Trump has a spotlight now and should use it to raise issues that we all need to discuss, and did this all looking like Shania Twain's slightly younger sister! I don't know if she's cruel enough to reverse the damage in today's climate, but I'd like to see her try. Just like Progressives wanted Obama.

Sarah Palin can read?

really @Pat... apparently you enjoy watching "garbage" since you comment so eloquently on the qualities of palin an sustern.
tell you what, why don't you upload a pic of yourself so that we can have a comment shot at your "less grotesquely crooked" mug.
and as for myself not being of any political persuasion, R, D, or libertarian i think that qualifies me to remark that palin appears much better prepared and assured than in the past... and no teleprompter need apply.

Bet you she STILL can't name the newspaper she "read" this in.

What was the name of the newspaper you read it in?
Palin answer: All of them
