'Real Housewives' hubby Simon van Kempen releases a single [Video]
The ginger-haired househusband of “Real Housewives of New York City" isn’t content unleashing his kooky sense of style on us poor citizens (we’re still recovering from that colorful sequined jacket in last week’s episode.) Hell-bent on finding some way to get his voice heard after it didn’t happen at the Marriage Equality of New York march, Van Kempen is releasing a single.
The news release makes sure to point out that he’s the first househusband to release a single. We’re not sure that’s worth bragging about.
“Not many people know this, but I spent my childhood and early 20s studying and performing as a musician,” Van Kempen said in a statement. “I wanted the track to be fun, irreverent and to talk about my real experience on the ‘Real Housewives of New York City.’ The title and lyrics are cheeky but hey, that's the real me!"
The song, “I Am Real,” will make its TV premiere Thursday night on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens: Live.” And the single will be available on CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon and other music sites.
We dare you to take a listen. Then tell us if LuAnn has a future tour partner or just new competition.
