‘Body of Proof,’ ABC’s long-delayed medical drama starring Dana Delany, made an impressive debut Tuesday, outdistancing veteran rivals ‘The Good Wife’ and ‘Parenthood.’

Though the 10 p.m. drama only held 70% of the audience from ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ its ratings were 84% above ‘V,’ which occupied the time slot a year ago. It was also the second-highest-rated season premiere of the 2010-2011 season, coming in behind last September’s debut of CBS’ ‘Hawaii Five-0.’

[For the record, 2:55 p.m.: The original post misspelled Delany’s name and has been corrected.]
