Julianne Moore to play Sarah Palin in HBO's 'Game Change'

March 9, 2011 |  1:03 pm

Moore Is Julianne Moore playing Sarah Palin on HBO's "Game Change"? You betcha. On Wednesday, the network announced that the actress had been cast in the original film, which is based on the bestselling book by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin. The book, in part, follows Sen. John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign from his selection of Palin as his running mate to their loss in the general election. "Game Change" is directed by Jay Roach and written by Danny Strong, who collborated on HBO’s "Recount." As for Moore, well, it's a bold political move for an actress who was once tapped to play Hillary Rodham Clinton.
