Could Charlie Sheen end up back on 'Two and a Half Men'?

Charlieinhat Is Charlie Sheen headed back to "Two and a Half Men"? Don't hold your breath for it happening any time soon.

The Web rumor mill was busy Monday with word that CBS was ready to take Sheen back, even though he was fired from TV's No. 1 comedy earlier this month after ridiculing his bosses. Radar Online reported that CBS executives "want him back now" and would "forgive and forget" the last few weeks of Sheen's outbursts.

NBC News reporter Jeff Rossen, who has interviewed Sheen frequently in recent days, tweeted that CBS had "offered him his job back" but that talks were still ongoing. Later, Rossen clarified to say that Sheen would have to come to terms with Warner Bros., the studio that owns the rights to "Two and a Half Men," before any deal could happen.

For the record, neither Warner Bros. nor CBS is commenting. But there is no indication that the studio's stance toward Sheen has changed since it sacked him two weeks ago. Or since the actor filed a $100-million lawsuit against the company shortly thereafter.

Sheen's camp is denying any return to the CBS series. "There is no story," Sheen's manager,Mark Burg, wrote in an e-mail to Show Tracker. "Not sure how all this started."

The good news? Looks like Sheen will have plenty of free time and his "My Violent Torpedo of Truth" concert tour can go ahead as planned.

Show Trackers, do you think CBS and Warner Bros. should take Sheen back?

I love Two and A Half Men. Its one of the more funnier shows that is on television these days. Do I agree with Charlie Sheen's latest antics? Of course I dont, but even though Charlie Sheen and Charlie Harper seem to mirror each other, one is fiction and the other is real life. I want to see Two and A Half Men back on the air and hopefully soon.

WHO CARES?!!! Can't believe anyone even gives a damn about Charlie Sheen or Two and a Half Men now. It's not even TMZ worthy anymore. It's so yesterday's news.

We alll need to stop picking out his flaws and realize americas just as bad. If anyone has a problem with Charlie then they obviously have a problem with themselves. Oh like they havent done anything that bad before? So what hes mad a mistake , no ones ever going to do EVERYTHING right. Get over it America & Grow up. Let it go. Theres no need for stupid useless drama. Dont we Have Enought Already? & Without Sheen on the show , everybodys going to hate it. You know we love him , why take him away?

Yes! Hire Charlie Sheen back. Two and a half men was the BEST show on T.V
No one could play Charlie Harper like Charlie Sheen. The other actors on the show play a big part and could not be replaced either. I miss the show. CBS,
WARNER BROS. ( CHUCK LORRE) WAKE UP, GET THE SHOW BACK ON THE AIR!

"Should" CBS take Sheen back?

they NEED Sheen back! without 2.5Men what do they have??? nothing

Without Sheen they don't have 2.5Men so what are they going to do? go the NBC route after Friends? which is nowhere, a complete void

Warner Bros and CBS (CBS Particularly) need to hang their egos and do what's $right$

@Ms.DianaColes I'm sorry you are so shocked about Charlie Sheen and 'America' but have you ever watched 2.5Men? or better yet have you ever watched television?
What you detest is exactly what sells on television... and is exactly what has allowed 2.5Men to last on television for all these years...

I will never watch this show again. I was a faithful watcher, but have no desire to watch an ego inflated train wreck get enriched. I have boycotted watching 3 other actors/actresses in the past, and apparently America agreed, as none of them ever made a successful comeback, I am ashamed of the network for even thinking their viewers are this mindless. There are too many channels now to waste m time on one who panders to such ridiculousness.

Let me put it this way - without Charlie Sheen, there is no Two and Half Men. Remember that the show's pilot only got made contingent on Charlie Sheen's name being attached to the show. Without him, it wouldn't have been made in the first place. And throughout its 7 seasons, Charlie has always carried the show each episode. Sure, Jon Cryer is funny, but without Charlie to set him up, he wouldn't have the same impact as he does on the show. And truth be told, the character - Allen Harper is a tad annoying. Without Charlie Harper pointing out what a loser his brother is, do you think we can stand a twice divorced, no money, obsessive-cumpolsive, middle-aged pervert charactr for very long? Initially, based solely on the premiss of the show, I thought it wouldn't work out. But somehow they make it work. The key is Charlie Sheen. And don't get me started how annoying ("old and in the way") the Jake character has been in recent seasons. The "kid" was only funny when he was little. Now, there is a character you can get rid of and not care about.

Charlie is a piece of crap. The only decent shows were the old reruns, where he actually looked the part. Recent shows are so inferior that I don't even bother. Everyone I talk to says the same thing. Why would they even consider taking him back. The show MIGHT have a chance if the character of Charlie looked more realistic. The train wreck Charlie Sheen has become so pathetic that I tune him completely.

I enjoy comedy in the camaraderie and disfunction of the characters. Yes, I agree some issues get old and could use an overtone adjustment. Still curious to see how things end up.

yes i do think they should hire him back and give there fans the great show
back to us all

Whatever you think of what he is done...he is a PR genius. His video on funnyordie demonstrates how smart he is playing this. If you are offended by him, you haven't been paying attention anything happening to this country for a long, long time. He is awesome.

I watch 2 1/2 men Religisly every Day even if its rerun after rerun & i also watch friends & I think if Charley sheen dont come back Thay should consider Matt Lablank (Joeie ) he's very funny & he plays a ladys man & I also think allen is funnier than charley sheen so I Beleave the show will still B a hit if thay just get the rite Dude not to play as charley but come in as a cousin & kinda act like charley with the ladys I like charley alot But I think He's lost all Reality in who's charley sheen & charley Harper I Mean if I made 1.5mil.a week I' kiss me some Ass of who ever I had to & go on about my buisness & smile allthe way to the Bank Charley Just got to cocky & about the 2 hoes with charley when the moneys gone so r thay so lets get Charley in Rehab & some counciling & get some new shoes made for all the fans out here

Ok lets get one thing straight charlie sheen is the man his show is the best and who cares what he does outside of work thats bullcrap hes one of the best actors ever if not the best and when he gets to work he works when have u ever seen him on a bad day on the show he is charlie sheen liviung a life most of us dream of good on him but get him to come back deal with one mre season then kick back and enjoy the rest of his deserving life

We want to see this man in this show! nobody can be him ever!! it is time for another chance!! don't you think ?

Charlie Sheen should be on Two and a Half Men.Without him the show wouldn't be the same anymore...if CBS or Warner Bros. think they might get higher ratings by getting different actors for this show they will either fail or succeed of course. But I think the show will get lower ratings, because America will notice the change, replacing Charlie Sheen would be like replacing Chris Colfer on Glee with Taylor Lautner. I think that Warner Bros. should forgive Charlie already and put him back on the show. All i truly know is that my family and I will probably never watch the show again if he is replaced.

If we are talking about money, then the network will lose. If we are talking about show, then the show will end.
Let's face it, Charlie is needed to make this show a #1 again. We need the entire cast, they are the show, not Warner, CBS, 6 people are running a multi million dollar show and it's not broke so don't fix it COPR. The problem is higher can accept the fact that someone would tell them the truth, this is Harper. Let's keep them all together
