Chris Brown has meltdown after 'Good Morning America' asks about Rihanna

Chrisbrown Chris Brown got a little more than he bargained for during a promotional stop Tuesday for his new album. During a sit-down on ABC's "Good Morning America," Robin Roberts pressed the singer about the legal troubles stemming from his 2009 altercation on a Los Angeles street with then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown was accused of savagely beating the pop star and eventually pled guilty to felony assault and was placed on five years probation.

Roberts began the interview by noting that Brown's restraining order against Rihanna had been relaxed and wondering whether the two still saw each other.

"I mean, not really," he said. "It's not really a big deal to me now as far as that situation. I think I'm past that in my life. I think today's the album day, so that's what I'm focused on. Everybody go get that album."

The exchange went downhill from there, as Roberts made perfunctory mention of the album and then sidled back to the Rihanna incident as Brown grew visibly upset:

But that wasn't all. After performing his new song "Yeah 3x," Brown stormed off the set and back to his dressing room, according to ABC. The show's staff heard loud noises coming from the room and called security. When Brown and his entourage departed a short time later, the staff discovered that a window in the dressing room had been smashed.

An ABC spokeswoman said that the network did not plan to press charges against Brown over the damage, which might have affected his probation if police had gotten involved.

Show Trackers, what do you think of Brown's latest incident? Is he entitled to move on, or has the Rihanna altercation forever marred his career?

Awwww ! They need to leave my baby alone lol

brown has apologized enough and that covers everything he did to rihanna according to the charges and he should be left alone and focus with his future.

For God's SAKE!!!! Leave that man alone!!!!!!!! Clearly he told Robin he did not want to discuss it, out of COURTESY she should have stopped that line of questioning.......It is sad how far the Media will go for ratings and I suspect she was pushed by the network to do the line of questioning that she did. BOTTOM LINE CHRIS BROWN IS OVER IT AND SO AM I AND THE REST OF HIS FANS SO LET IT REST!!!!!!!!!!

What he did was terrible. But everyone has the right to move on. We must remember he is young, and like many young people he has had to learn from the school of hard knocks. Unfortunately, his life has played out on television/media platform making in that much more difficult. He was only 19 when these events occurred. We have to allow him to move on from this and grow past this. Its like a man trying to pick himself up off the ground, and continously being nudged (not pushed)back down. It just makes it that much more difficult for him. How many of us have made bad life choices and have done things to turn ourselves around. I should think just about everyone.

the word "savagely" that was use to describe the beating is a bit dramtic.

Ppl quick to judge as if they have never done anything wrong in their lives.. Leave the man alone!!! Its over we are in 2011 not 2009!!!

who cares? He sucks, his music sucks and he will be unemployed and penniless within 5 years. Not worthy of anyones time or concern. He should treasure the moments he had cash and the wherewithal to even be banging Rhianna in the first place....time of your life, hey kid.

I think its disgusting that this less than a man still has a career. He got off with a slap on the hand after what he did and we as a country want to make this coward a star again...I hope the media continues to bring it up and gets in his face because apparently he hasn't learned a thing and his anger issues are still on"Go".

Robin Roberts, Robin Roberts, Robin Roberts!!! Why on earth would you do that to Chris Brown!?! You only proved to America that you 'are' a puppet on a string....controlled buy your "Good Morning America" writers. I don't believe in my heart that you would have asked Chris Brown such a question. I've always respected you and admired your strength during your transgressions, but this was totally uncalled for. This young man has done wrong and has moved on after paying debt to his situation!! He's back and trusted "YOU" with his promotional interview....And you rubbed salt all in his wound!!! Shame on you!! What if he had done the same to you in "your" wound!!! Now that wouldn't have been nice! I felt that you of all people would have treated him like a son!! Oh, but maybe you don't have any "Motherly Instincts" do you!?! Let things marinate for a minute, then come back and apologize to the man, because 'you' were out of order!!! Promote the album and not his past! Or are you able to come from underneath you mediafire to do an interview like a seasoned interviewer!! Call Barbara Walters, Oprah or Monique and get you some "Down Home" tips!!! I've forgiven you already, now you forgive youself, then "Chris Brown"......Congratulations to you Chris Breezy!!! Love, your VA Home Girl~Yolanda Coleman!!!

he's finally famous for something he's truly talented at: being a angry idiot.
Singer? not so much,...

I LOVE ROBIN ROBERTS AND WATCH HER EVERY DAY ON GMA
I DESPISE CHRIS BROWN FOR WHAT HE DID TO RIHANNA

HOWEVER

WHILE CHRIS BROWN SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR HIS TEMPER, ROBIN ROBERTS SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR HER BADGERING, TABLOID-TYPE INTERVIEW. SHE WAS OBNOXIOUS!!!
SHE EGGED HIM ON AND WAS A PAIN IN THE TUKHUS.
I HAVE NEVER CONTACTED A SHOW BEFORE, BUT, I WAS GOING TO CONTACT THE SHOW EVEN BEFORE I HEARD ABOUT THE INCIDENT AFTER THE SHOW BECAUSE THE INTERVIEW WAS SO OFF-PUTTING AND ROBIN WAS GNAWING IN HER APPROACH
( i am an old lady and so both are young brats to me)

Yes, Robin Roberts was wrong for grilling him about the past, but smashing windows isn't the way you respond to that. Chris is young. He has to realize that when you are a popular celebrity and do something that isn't morally right to the general public, it will follow you for a long time. People will continue to associate the Rihanna incident with him. In order for people to root for him and move along, he has to show that he has changed and has moved on in his life and career. Throwing temper tantrums and throwing chairs at windows is only proving why people shouldn't root for him. And this isn't an isolated incident. He has had Twitter "beefs" that didn't really show him in the best light, and he comes off obnoxious in his other interviews. How can you root for someone who presents themselves in such a manner? And I'm not bashing the kid. I think he is extremely talented, but I think he has been misguided completely. Chris really needs better guidance around him or he will not last in this business.

He's an idiot. He is only showing the world that he can't control his anger. By doing that he is only reigniting the Rihanna beating's flame. Could also just be a publicity stunt...which makes him a pathetic idiot.

Why cant the media just let this go and let him move on with his life. It happened two years ago and CB has done all that he was required to do for his actions.

Older Hollywood ( i.e.Charlie Sheen & Mel Gibson ) have their major moments and the media holds there hand and stand by them through it. Their older and should know better. I'm pretty sure there actions won't interfere with any future projects they may have coming up and that's sad because Mel Gibson was not only a physical abuser and verbal abuser but he was also a RACIST...Shame on the media and Hollywood for supporting him EVER!!!!!

Chris Brown on the other hand had his unfortunate moment (as a kid still growing, learning and maturing) yet the media wants to continue kicking him and trying to keep him down.... C 'mon....Life has to go on.

I get it...The media's message is "If your old and supposedly wiser do whatever the hell you want well support you" but "If your young and still growing were going to taunt you and badger you for the rest of your life because you deserve it and people can't change and will never learn from their mistakes"....I'm just sayin

Chris Brown has made his mistakes and paid his dues....LET IT REST...

Its over...This young man doesnt need to apologize anymore...He apologized to the ONE!!!!!! and I say again.ONE!!!!! person he needed to apologize to, All you DRAMA junkies Move ON!!!!!!! His anger issues arent the case here, He's being badgered and poked at!!!! How many DAMN times does he have to say Im sorry!!!!!! Thats Why America is the way it is today!!! Leeches Wont Quit!!!!

I think that everyone should leave him alone and get over the past. He made a mistake and is trying to move on SO WHY CAN'T WE RESPECT THAT!!!!!!!!! Who are we to judge him noone WE ARE NOT GOD SO LET THE MAN LIVE IS DAMN LIFE!!! SIGNED A FOREVER FAN:)

I'm no fan of Chris Rock, however, in my book, Robin Roberts has joined the tabloid circus of Geraldo Rivera and Maury Povich. If Chris Rock was trying to deal with alcoholism, would Robin Roberts keep putting a shot of Jack Daniels in front of him while asking him how he's coping with his AA program? She should no longer be considered a 'serious' journalist, but considered as an 'entertainment' reporter, the level to which she obvious aspires.

I LOVE THIS SHOW. I HAD GROW UP WITH THIS AND I LOVE THE PEOPLE IN PINE VALLEY.

NOOOO PLEASE LEAVE ON THE AIR
