Chris Brown apologizes -- sort of -- about 'Good Morning America' tantrum

Chrisb Chris Brown issued an apology of sorts for his backstage outburst Tuesday at "Good Morning America" after anchor Robin Roberts questioned him during an interview about the continuing aftermath of his assault two years ago of former girlfriend Rihanna.

In an appearance on BET's "106th & Park," Brown said he was sorry if he startled anyone at ABC with his behavior, adding that he was "disappointed" in his actions. He said he was "thrown off" by Roberts' questions about Rihanna when he thought he was there only to promote his new album.

He said he felt deceived and that the producers primarily wanted "to exploit me" whereas he wanted to focus on the "positivity and creativity" of the album. He later "let off steam" in the back, noting that he didn't physically attack anyone.

A "Good Morning America" representative said Brown trashed a dressing room and broke a window.

Brown said he had heard fans had sent threats to Roberts and advised them to be more positive.

We are NOT defending Chris Brown because we do not like him and never have; in fact we can't stand him and we think he is a jerk and punk, and find it interesting the way he "apologizes" after he has gotten himself in trouble!!! He obviously still has anger management problems and there is no excuse for the way he acted at GMA and caused all the damage, etc.. BUT, we saw the whole interview ( we watch GMA every morning ) and we STILL feel Robin needs to accept some of the responsibility for the way she was RELENTLESS and rather RUDE with her questions after he politely asked her to continue with the main purpose of his visit which was to promote his album!!!!!!!!!!!

u guys had no right talking about Rihanna because he was trying to introduce his new debute album FAME get it so next time that's of there will be a next time don't freakin bring up Rihanna cuz everyone knows it's the past and ur tryin to make Chris Brown a bad person and obviously you keep bringing it up so it pisses him off to a point where he jumps to conclusions so watch what u say and CHRIS BROWN IS THE BEST AND I <3 UR MUSIC alright Chris keep ur head up and stay strong hommie

leave chris brown allown he never did anything to anybody im discusseded by the way pepole act when a star messe up dang he still sexy

Can't we all agree to just shun this guy? I mean really, why do we care about anything from his life?

Chris you know that anytime you step in the spotlight you are always going to be looked at as tge msn who abused Rihana. You cannot allow anyone television personality or not to get in your head. I feel for you because this took place Two years ago and you are not being looked at for how well you have done since. This just goes to show that bad can still sell. Just do you.

lol

blah, he is a thug and a no talent jerk

He needs to grow a pair and grow up. Stop acting like a spoiled child, you stupid jerk

Ummm. I love Chris Brown Boe
But i do think he had a right to mess up that room because Robin shouldn't had asked him a stupid question like that i mean like forreal ask something that happen like 2 years ago..
And Sherry king be quiet because im pretty sure he hates you too ! :) haha
Forget all you haters

I feel if we are going to support our youth in their success we need to support them in their failures as well. Nobody is perfect and we all have made mistakes and messed up bad at some point. Chris Brown is trying to move forward with his life. If we continue to bring up negatively we don't really help in the process of healing all we are doing is instigating and looking for a reaction and unfortunately it may be one we are not ready to see.

And Stacie Lilly.. i feel ya i mean it was two years ago
And same here Daneille
And Joseph Hewitt.. because he is THE BEST !!!! :) why would you ask a stupid question like that ???

What I have to say to Chris Brown is this, 'TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES TO YOUR OWN ACTIONS!' Yeah, Robin Roberts asked him questions regarding the Rihanna incident, but it does not give him the right to violently destroy the company's property. After all, Chris Brown is under five years probation so it is right for someone to ask him about the Rihanna situation until the five years is up. He really should have handled this situation different, then maybe the media will not have attacked him the way it did. But, from a psychological stand point, I guess one can say that he is "too young" to be going through this type of stress.

It's plain to see that people still want to make a young guy that has tried to move on after his mistake be put to shame. It is very sad how some people always want to point the finger because they think that they are like a rose but yet like a plastic flower meaning (fake). Lol.. I feel he has been down enough and admitted to it plus very sorry for it. So if you tell a person that they want you on a show but dont tell them the exact details on what is going to be talked about then expect them to react the way they do. "Jerry Springer" would be a better place for that and maby (Robin Roberts) needs to work there. Like Chris Brown says.. "All that Bull Crap is for the Birds and you and nothin but a Vulture".. You know what it is.. LOVE YOU CHRIS BROWN!!!!!!!

I agree with Joseph. This kid is NOT important...he is not a music legend that will remembered 10-20 years from now. His actions were despicable, however, Robin's question may have been asked inappropriately as well. Ultimately, all of this is just giving him more undeserved attention, in my opinion.

He felt "deceived" and that they wanted to "exploit" him. Ahh, what a poor, helpless victim.

Face it, Mr. Brown, you will forever be known as the brave man who beat up a woman.

Stacie, Danielle, Kiana...and countless other fans (I only had the stomach to read the first few posts)
COME ON GIRLS!!
I understand you're all Chris Brown fans and that's fine, but will you please use punctuation and spell check. You make it seem like all CB fans are idiots. You're bad representations of his fan base. Just don't say anything next time. You're making things worse. You just gave a bunch of ignorant, racist people ammunition. Thanks!

he needs another round of anger management- breakin out a window at anyones place is plain wrong and he knew it

i see chris brown has many haters and many fans. we all make mistakes some are bigger than others. you can say what you want and call him what ever you want hes not being hurt look at the money he's making and look where you are! blogging about how he is this name and that name. even if he threw a chair or beat rihanna ass no one knows the true story except him and her. im a fan of both. women dont deserve to be treated with disrespect and men shouldnt hit us but every once in a while you have some chick who deserves what she gets. we cant stop what happend back then. regaurdless what he did in the past everyone always gets a second chance. so you continue to blogg and talk mess about chris rihanna stil had a swollen eye and chris brown is still maiking money. a couple haters CAN NOT stop anyones vibe. and about the
(gma) who cares what he did it was very wrong but at the end of the day non of our comments and bloggs matter he is still going to do what he wants and atleast he apologized. i mean words dont mean a thing actions do he just has to learn to have " SELF CONTROL"

he's a tough guy, around women and furniture!!!...you'll never see him hit a man.....

Irrespective of Chris Brown's past history or current talents, he picked up a large cooler in the heat of rage and threw it at a larger window, causing significant property damage, endangering the lives others, and creating enough fear in others nearby that they felt it was necessary to call security for protection.

There is no excuse for this man's behavior, and for this man not to suffer any consequences for his violent behavior at " GMA" disappoints me greatly. I suspect Chris Brown will have to kill another, ( most likely it will be a woman), before his violent behavior is taken seriously enough. What a shame.
