Showtime picks up 'Episodes,' 'Shameless' for second seasons
Showtime's two freshman series, "Episodes" and "Shameless," have been picked up for a second season.
Showtime President of Entertainment David Nevins announced that "Shameless," a comedy-drama starring William H. Macy as the often-drunk matriarch of an unconventional family, will have a second-season order of 12 episodes. "Episodes," featuring Matt LeBlanc as the arrogant star of an American sitcom adapted by a British couple, received a second-season order with the number of episodes yet to be determined.
Production for the second season of both shows, which premiered Jan. 9, will begin later this year.

Excellent news for both shows but I'm particularly ecstatic for Episodes! What an amazingly well-written, well-acted show. Just superb entertainment. The short season just left me wanting more (how do the British get used to these tiny seasons?). Can't wait for Season 2 to air!

Matriarch? Frank was their father the last time I checked.
Happy too see that Shameless will be back!
