Shatner’s Raw Nerve: The former “Star Trek” star sits down with Kevin Pollak (7 p.m. Biography) and Carl Reiner at 7:30.

How I Met Your Mother: After he sees a powerful documentary about garbage, Marshall (Jason Segel) becomes obsessed with saving the environment in this new episode (8 p.m. CBS).

House: At a school’s career day, House (Hugh Laurie) shares explicit medical stories and is sent to the principal’s office, where his real lesson begins, in this new episode (8 p.m. Fox).

World’s Deadliest Towns: This three-part miniseries hosted by Dave Salmoni takes visitors to a trio of locales in India and Africa where animals and people are chronic adversaries (8 p.m. Animal Planet).

Mad Love: For the benefit of latecomers just now joining this engaging new sitcom, in last week’s premiere, attorney Ben (Jason Biggs) nearly blew it with his newly found dream girl (Sarah Chalke, “Scrubs”), when he was a little too slow breaking up with his former girlfriend (8:30 p.m. CBS).

Outrageous Kid Parties: This new four-episode series focuses on families who spend fortunes to make sure their kids have the party of their lives (9:30 p.m. TLC).

Harry’s Law: Harry and Malcolm (Kathy Bates, Aml Ameen) try to mediate a gang dispute that is threatening to erupt into all-out war in this new episode (10 p.m. NBC).


Tabatha’s Salon Takeover: In the season finale Tabatha revisits salons from this season and last (10 p.m. Bravo).
