Charlie Sheen's publicist 'respectfully' resigns after latest round of actor's media outbursts
Veteran Hollywood publicist Stan Rosenfield, who represented Charlie Sheen through the actor's rehab attempts and breakup with his employers on the hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men," abruptly resigned on Monday.
"I have worked with Charlie Sheen for a long time and I care about him very much," Rosenfield wrote in a brief statement. "However, at this time, I'm unable to work effectively as his publicist and have respectfully resigned." In a follow-up e-mail, Rosenfield said he had represented Sheen for at least seven years.
The move came on the same day that Sheen turned up in another round of interviews on ABC, NBC, TMZ and elsewhere, attacking everyone from CBS to his father, former "The West Wing" star Martin Sheen. Since CBS and Warner Bros. decided last week to halt production on "Two and a Half Men" after Sheen attacked his boss, Chuck Lorre, the actor has gone on a manic round of media interviews. It is unclear what role, if any, Rosenfield played in setting up those interviews.
But the public relations man was still working on the Sheen account Monday morning, when he dispelled an e-mail hoax that said Sheen had retired from acting.

Charlie is a human being. Nothing more, nothing less. He is sick. He needs help. This is anything but funny. No one can make him get help. This is a disease that only he can ask for help with.
Hopefully, for his sake, he becomes willing to accept that he has no control over these substances and that his life is unmanageable.
Otherwise, he's on his way to jail or the morgue.
Acceptance is the key.
Bipolar? maybe. I don't know if he's ever been diagnosed.
Sociopath? I don't think so and I have some experience working in forensic hospitals with adults and adolescents. I've seen it. I don't believe Charlie Sheen is a sociopath. He is sick.

Charlie Sheen...what a waste of talent. After this, who would hire him again. He's suing CBS for $32o mil. for "mental anguish"... Yeah, the mental anguish of earning millions on Two and a Half Men. Charlie's mental anguish is what he has done to himself for living a reprobate life of drugs, women, parties, drugs, women, parties punctuated by periods of recuperation called treatment so he could heal up enough to pursue more drugs, women, parties.

If someone doesn't get Sheen commited for treatment soon who his publicist is is not going to be an important issue.

Charlie will never live to see the lawsuit, his liver is ready to implode. He doesn't have a disease, he made a choice, no one chooses a disease. A disease is cancer, tb,MD, MS, those are diseases, being a drunk, druggie and all around idiot are not diseases they are choices.
I hope they continue the show without him and it becomes an even bigger success.

Charlie doesn't need this lightweight. . .he needs a publicist with some real man balls just as crazy as he is. Together, they will rule the WORLD!!

The greatest punishment available for Mr. Sheen is to shun him and ignore him completely. Nothing would cut to the root of his egocentric being faster or more dramatically. Just ignore the guy. He's not worth our attention. None of these dysfunctional celebrities are.

Go Get 'em Charlie. I'm certain that there is a whole lot of truth in what Charlie is saying. These Hollywood sleazeballs (Chaim Chuck Lorre et al ) are making millions on the back of actors like Charlie and they don't give a rat's behind about his health, mental or physical, as long as he keeps laying golden eggs. For the liberal left wing media to paint as somehow Unstable or still under the influence is aiding abetting the "users" and abusers of the industry. once again the media is creating a false perception.
