CBS' 'Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior' with Forest Whitaker hunts down strong ratings in premiere
Looks like CBS' new procedural "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior" has profiled a solid start for itself.
The natural question was whether the "Criminal Minds" franchise would prove worthy of spinoff, a la the more-popular "NCIS." But Wednesday night any doubt was answered with a 10 p.m. time slot victory for "Suspect Behavior," which stars Forest Whitaker as FBI profiler Sam Cooper. The premiere
(12.9 million total viewers) easily swept past NBC's "Law & Order: SVU" (7.2 million) and ABC's "Off the Map" (4.3 million), according to the Nielsen Co.
For CBS, "Suspect Behavior" delivered its best numbers in the time slot in more than a year. And it held on to 99% of the 9 p.m. audience from the original "Criminal Minds," which is a sign of strong viewer interest.
Fox's "American Idol" -- with a two-hour drama-filled episode devoted to the singers dividing into groups -- dominated the night with an impressive 22.8 million average viewers.
Show Trackers, what did you think of the premiere of "Suspect Behavior"?

I've watched four episodes of Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior and I just don't like it.
Criminal Minds is one of my favorite shows and I was looking forward to another CM but the characters just don't gel. I like Forest Whitiker but not in this role. The rest of the cast just doesn't seem to work. Even Penelope Garcia (who I think is geat) cannot pull this one off.

This is my only post, and I don't like Garafalo either. She wants to make her personal feelings public, fine with me, and it should be fine for me to make judgements about how I feel about het. Not that I necessarily disagree with what she says, it's that she is a downer. She's mean spirited and while that sits fancy with some, it's a turn off to me. So ... Do I want to stare at her and listen to her condesending, whiny remarks for an hour on tv.? Seriously not.
I dont care for the new Criminal Minds. I might like it better without her, not sure.

When Janeane Garofalo is no longer on this spin off of Criminal Minds then I will give it a shot and watch the series.

I promise not all the Garofalo haters are the same person, or even a small group. I know many, many people who do not like her on or off screen and know that until she leaves the show, will nto watch. I liked the team better during CM than now. The women do not fit with the team and the men are underutilized. As a female who really liked JJ and Emily, it is not that I prefer male characters. Just that I prefer good ones.

love Criminal Minds..watched Criminal minds suspect behavior and I really agree with other comments about the shows cast. LOVE Forrest Whitaker, but will not watch the show until u get rid of Janeane Garofalo. She is unAmerican and does not deserve to ruin what could be a good show
