The winter 2011 edition of the Television Critics’ Assn. press tour kicked off in Pasadena today with presentations from the TV Land and CMT networks, which are betting on old being the new thing.

TV Land brought Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves -- all sitcom legends in their own right -- to discuss their series ‘Hot in Cleveland,’ followed by George Segal and Jessica Walter, who took the stage to chat about their new sitcom ‘Retired at 35.’ And then CMT jumped on the trend with their own new comedy, ‘Working Class,’ starring Ed Asner and Melissa Peterman (best known for her role in the sitcom ‘Reba’).

On Thursday Turner networks (Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and TNT) will present upcoming shows, along with HLN, CNN, BET, Playboy and Discovery Networks (including the recently launched OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network).
