Reports say Charlie Sheen remains at home as doubt swirls around 'Two and a Half Men'
Another day, another wild turn of events in the Charlie Sheen saga.
The "Two and a Half Men" star was believed to have checked in to a rehab facility last week after being hospitalized with severe abdominal pains. And according to a source close to the Sheen camp who spoke on condition of anonymity, that's true: the party-loving actor finally relented to enter a treatment facility after refusing all day Friday.
But wait: That may not be the final word. TMZ is reporting that the actor is working with a special expert in addictions, and they're doing the treatment from Sheen's home because of privacy concerns.
Rival celebrity site Radaronline has put a darker spin on the tale, reporting that Sheen is still balking at going anywhere and doesn't think he needs rehab at all, causing much consternation among his handlers and executives at CBS and Warner Bros., which makes the show.
The stakes are high, because Sheen's absence has thrown "Two and a Half Men," TV's most-watched comedy, into indefinite hiatus. TMZ also reported that Sheen's case would require three months of treatment, meaning that the show would not return this season.
Meantime, the actor's spokesman, Stan Rosenfield, continues trying - somewhat nobly, one might say - to manage what's rapidly deteriorating into a PR fiasco. He issued a statement Monday afternoon that said: "In compliance with the national health privacy laws (HIPAA), no further information relating to Charlie Sheen's health or his rehab experience will be released without his written permission."

I love Charlie and I wish him the best. Keep us posted Mr. Collins and TMZ!

This guy gets paid $1m per episode. Why are CBS paying him this when over 10% of Californians are out of work and why are they tolerating this? I wonder how many lawsuits this could bring from former CBS lower ranking employees who were dismissed because of 'addiction' issue-related performance?
Maybe the issue they are not addressing is the quality of television itself? Surely you don't have to pay a tv star $1m per episode because a show (mediocre at best) becomes a hit. It all seems very messy.

Charlie, just OD already.

Why on earth won't they just get rid of him? He's a hedonistic dirtbag!

Tomorrow Feb. 1, will mark my 21 st year of sobriety. The progession of alcohol and substance abuse only get worse little by little day by day until death, jail, and or insanity. For CBS and those who love Charlie bring on the tough love his life is spiraling out of control.

Wow, check out that chin. It must enter a room ten minutes before the rest of him. No wonder he is such a caveman.

Maybe his liberal dad should've shown him some discipline as a kid like a swat or two. Thanks for nothing, Dr Spock

The actual star of the the show is Jon Cryer. He has all the funny lines, he does all the acting. Any dolt could play the guy sitting on the couch.

Why is Charlie not in jail? Isn't buying a backpack full of crack illegal? "party loving actor"? C'mon Times.

I think it's pathetic to see how this guy is wasting his life abusing drugs in such a manner. I think the real problem for Charlie is spiritual: he's using drugs and sex to replace the emptiness he feels inside his spirit. He may have lots of money, but he is an emotional and spiritual beggar.

What?...are you kidding me? He's gonna do the rehab at home? It's not gonna work. Will there be 24-hour guards to make sure this jerk doesn't party during his "rehab" sessions? Well, don't hold your breath waiting for this loser to get well...he won't.

I love Charlie and I think the people who like to judge his illness do not see it as such..so easy if you or someone you love very much has never had any addictions or demons in their life..at this point it has nothing to do with money or childhood..he has a serious problem and I only wish someone can help him so we don't read headlines of his death...he is a talented actor but with addictions your not anyone or anything other than a person who needs help...PLEASE GET IT CHARLIE...

Charlie Sheen's spokesman is losing it. Perhaps he doesn't want to say anymore about Sheen in order to keep his services contract with his valuable client. But celebrity spokespeople are not restricted from giving out health information by HIPAA, unless they are also the care provider. Stan Rosenfield may feel like a care provider in this case, but I doubt that he actually is one.

We (husband and I) watch Two and a Half Men every day and laugh our heads off no matter how many times we've seen the episode, but we think Charlie Sheen is a thoughtless, spoiled "child" and should pay the salary of each and every employee on the show for the entire time he is in "rehab." Perhaps while he is being treated for drug addiction, he should also be treated for sex addiction. How does someone with so much talent screw his life up so badly. I'm glad he's not me son.

What an embarassment he must be to his family. He has too much money, too much time, seemingly no responsibilities... and lacks the ability to even take care of himself. He needs 6 months of rehab and a little tragedy in his life to wake him up. I'm so bored with the likes of these spoiled-brat, drunken drug-addicts who are so self-centered. Where are his children? Doesn't he at least care what kind of an example he is setting for them? Don't they need a Father to look up to?

Charlie who?

It's really quite the comment on his total and utter lack of any kind of accountability whatsoever. Does it ever occur to him the numbers of people that will lose their jobs because he simply can't be bothered with caring for anyone else but himself? His sense of selfishness and entitlement isn't even coming close to mask what has to be an individual that hasn't one iota of self- esteem or respect. What he chooses to do to himself, I could care less. It's what he's doing to others that don't deserve the base treatment he's dishing out that is unconscionable.

Some women, like yours truly, have no identity and keep beckoning back to meeting a celebrity 20+ years ago because her own life is so boring. Right Ursula Auburn?

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Slumber Party at Charlie Sheens House! WOO-HOO!!

I don't if any of this information about Sheen is true or not, but if he is at home and refusing to go to rehab he will not be on this Earth much longer. His downward spiral is almost at an end. Once the show is cancelled, he will probably implode.
