Network anchors headed to Arizona to cover aftermath of shootings
In a sign of how much the Arizona shootings have shaken the country, the major network anchors are all going to Tucson to cover the aftermath of Saturday's violence that killed six people and injured others, included Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Katie Couric will anchor the "CBS Evening News" from Arizona on Monday night, with expanded coverage from senior political correspondent Jeff Greenfield and other reporters in the field.
Brian Williams is doing a one-hour "Dateline" on NBC at 8 p.m. Sunday and will also anchor "NBC Nightly News" from Tucson on Monday.
An ABC spokesman said that anchor Diane Sawyer is likewise en route to Arizona to cover the shootings.
