Smallville: Kara (Laura Vandervoort) returns to Earth with a surprise for Clark (Tom Welling) in this repeat (8 p.m. KTLA).

CSI: NY: Mac (Gary Sinise) and the team investigate the shooting of a bakery owner by an assailant dressed as a clown (9 p.m. CBS).

Supernatural: In this repeat of an unusually funny and whimsical episode, Dean (Jensen Ackles) is abducted from a crop circle while investigating an apparent UFO sighting and discovers upon awakening that his kidnappers are fairies (9 p.m. KTLA).

Say Yes to the Dress: A girl wants a “piratey” dress in this season premiere (9 p.m. TLC).

Ghost Adventures: The team hunts spooks at Los Angeles’ historic Pico House Hotel (9 p.m. Travel).

Cat Ballou: After a thug kills her father, schoolteacher Catherine Ballou (Jane Fonda) hires legendary gunslinger Kid Shelleen, not realizing he is a raging drunk who literally cannot hit the broad side of a barn. Lee Marvin won an Academy Award as lead actor for his dual role, playing both Kid Shelleen and his nemesis, the killer of Cat’s father in this 1965 western spoof (3:15 p.m. TCM).

SPORTS

College football: NCAA Division I, Final: Delaware vs. Eastern Washington (4 p.m. ESPN2); AT&T Cotton Bowl: LSU vs. Texas A&M (5 p.m. Fox).
