CBS chief admits 'high level of concern' over Charlie Sheen's troubles
The entertainment chief of CBS admits that the latest antics from troubled "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen are causing headaches at the network.
"I have a high level of concern," Nina Tassler told reporters Friday morning at the TV press tour in Pasadena. "How could I not? ... This man is a father; he's got children."
Sheen was recently in the headlines again after reports that he went on a bender with porn stars in Las Vegas. The actor has been in and out of rehab since he was charged in a domestic violence case against his now-estranged wife in December 2009. Last fall, he reportedly went on a rampage in his hotel room in New York.
Tassler's comments went somewhat further than she or other network executives have previously been willing to go and is the closest CBS has come to publicly chiding the star of its No. 1 comedy.
But she added that the circumstances surrounding Sheen are "complicated."
"You can’t look at it simplistically," Tassler said. "Charlie is a professional. He comes to work, he does his job extremely well ... The show is a hit."
When a reporter asked whether Sheen's continuing escapades were having an impact on the show, Tassler replied: "Things are continuing as planned."

The guys got issues. Not that they have anything to do with the program other than bad publicity... nevertheless, he should get some help.

What he does in his private life is no ones business. Most men with his means would be doing the same thing. Must be a slow news day.

As long as CBS is getting their ratings, nothing will be done until someone gets hurt or killed by this accident waiting to happen.

Exactly Traci.
And as long as this remains the case, he will stay out of jail, and his bosses will cover for him.

Another celebrity idiot with too much money and not enough class. Certainly blown his responsibilities as a parent. So sad for the children.

Keep doing what you are doing Charlie! Obviously if the ratings are up, you are doing your job. I think the paparazzi, TMZ, the media in general should butt out of his private life. He can do whatever he wants with his millions. If he wants to party hard with pornstars, then let him do it, good for him. He has made it. Sounds like everyone that is against him is just jealous that he is filthy rich and can do whatever the hell he wants.

Comfortably numb.

Why are we not surprised?? This man has been - and acted - like a spoiled punk for years. CBS and the studios have known he is poison, but lack the backbone to confront his Agency or lawyers. But, look out, Mel Gibson... He got blackballed in the business for getting a DUI and making a film about the life of Jesus...

It’s all in fun until someone gets hurt, killed, maimed or destroyed. Come on Charlie, really. Grow up and control yourself; you have young children that have to go to school. Don't you care they will be teased and embarrassed because of your behavior? Geez, how many whores does 1 man need to @#%%?

Eventually, there's going to be a tipping point and viewership will erode, epecially among females. Until recently, I continued to watch the show despite Sheen's antics. But now the association with porn stars and disgusting behavior is so strong in my mind that I can't stand to look at him.

so the guy likes to snort coke and do hookers? of course thats going to get a little out of control, but really, whats the big deal? he's not doing it in front of his kids. what he does on his own time is of his own free will. if i had his money, i'd probably do the same now and then. except it would be meth and good friends.

He is who he is.
Take care Charlie.

"The show is a hit." What's more disgusting, Charlie Sheen or Nina Tassler and the hypocrites at CBS?

CBS should be this concerned about the crap they broadcast. Sheen's show is a pathetic testament to just how far we've sunk as a civilization. And to think he's the highest paid "star" on TV. The next big earthquake can't come soon enough. I look forward to the day when Hollywood is a tourist attraction best viewed from a glass-bottom boat.
