Alana de la Garza goes from 'Law & Order' to 'Law & Order: Los Angeles'

Alana de la Garza, who played Assistant District Attorney Connie Rubirosa on "Law & Order," will soon bring the character from the East Coast to the West Coast.

De la Garza is joining the cast of "Law & Order: Los Angeles." She will make her first appearence later in the season.

The actress first joined the New York-based "mothership" of the "Law & Order" franchise on 2006. The series was canceled last year.

intresting. i think they should have brought mccoy to svu permanently but oh well hopefull sam waterston will make an svu guest appearance at least.

Great news. Now if only they dump Molina and Howard, bring back Skeet Ulrich and find a new lead ADA, the show might work.

A desperate move by Dick Wolf to garner better ratings for this spinoff. How unfortunate that NBC cancels the mothership and that Dick Wolf didn't fight hard enough for the original. Sorry, I won't be watching even with the addition of New York character Connie Rubirosa.

I do like the show, I liked the team of Ulrich and Stoll and I like Terrence Howard's D.A. more than Molina's.......I think it's the haircut. The shifting of Molina's role to Detective I'm not big on but I love that de la Garza is part of the show now. Really liked her on L&O. After Angie Harmon left, the next 4 years of casting for that role was pretty weak. Then de la Garza came aboard and she had the same kind of toughness that Harmon had. Hope the re-tooling will get things on track.
