Don Cheadle tells 'Lies' in new Showtime series

Cheadlepix Don Cheadle has signed on to star in and executive producer a Showtime comedy pilot, "House of Lies."

Cheadle will play Marty, a highly successful cutthroat consultant at a top-tier firm who will do anything necesssary to get clients the information they want.

The series is being created and written by Matthew Carnahan ("Dirt") from the book "House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You The Time." Carnahan will also be an executive producer for the series, which will begin production in February.

Cheadle scored an Oscar nomination for best actor for "Hotel Rwanda" and has been featured in numerous films, including "Crash," "Iron Man 2" and "Boogie Nights."
