‘Twin Peaks’ and ‘The X-Files’ to Get a Shout-Out with Tribute Episodes

‘Twin Peaks’ and ‘The X-Files,’ two groundbreaking series that had a tremendous influence on shows dealing with the fantastic and supernatural, will be honored with tribute episodes on two current series.

USA Network’s ‘Psych’ will pay homage to ‘Twin Peaks’ on Dec. 1 with the episode ‘Dual Spires,’ cowritten by the series star James Roday. Appearing in the installment will be several members of the ‘Twin Peaks’ cast, including Sheryl Lee, Sherilynn Fenn, Dana Ashbrook, Robyn Lively, Lenny Von Dohlen, Catherine Coulson and Ray Wise.

The CW’s ‘Supernatural’ will salute the ‘The X Files’ on Saturday in the episode ‘Clap Your Hands If You Believe.’ An opening montage and credit sequence will feature elements, musical cues and visuals that will be very familiar to ‘X-Files’ fans.
