SUNDAY
Will the real Sarah Palin please stand up? “Tina Fey: The Mark Twain Prize” finds the “30 Rock” star and renowned Palin impersonator being honored by her comedy colleagues, while the former governor herself gives us a guided tour of her home state in the new series “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.” (KCET, 7:30 p.m.; TLC, 9 and 11 p.m.)
Growing up can be tough enough for a kid, but when one or both parents have a drinking problem, it only compounds the child’s fears and insecurities. Five such youngsters share their personal stories on “Nick News Special Edition.” (Nickelodeon, 9 p.m.)
MONDAY
Sorry, “Chuck” fans, but a guest appearance by the lovely and talented Summer Glau (right) is still not enough to get us to watch this super-silly action comedy. But it does give us an excuse to run a photo of the former “Firefly” favorite. (NBC, 8 p.m.)
TUESDAY
It’s not the end of the world… or is it? The new two-part special “Apocalypse PA” profiles the Belcastros, a Pennsylvania family learning to become self-sufficient in preparation of the possible collapse of civilization. (History, 10 and 10:30 p.m.)
WEDNESDAY
“Whatcha gonna do, brother, when the 24-inch pythons and Hulkamania run wild on you?!” The special “Finding Hulk Hogan” updates fans on the trials and tribulations of the professional wrestling legend and sometime reality TV star. (A&E, 10 p.m.)
THURSDAY
He sang us a song because he’s the piano man, he loves you just the way you are, and he was not among those who started the fire. He’s Grammy Award-winning musician Billy Joel, and he’s profiled on a new “Biography.” (7 and 11 p.m. Biography)
FRIDAY
Expect snark. Expect ranting. Expect semi-obscure pop culture references, political jibes, and to find yourself laughing at jokes you probably wouldn’t otherwise. Expect all of this and more in the stand-up special “Dennis Miller: The Big Speech.” (HBO, 10 p.m.)
SATURDAY
Know what would have been cool, man? If Jeff Bridges (below) had won an Oscar for his turn as the Dude in 1998’s “The Big Lebowski.” But no biggie, bro, because he finally got his for the 2009 country-music fable “Crazy Heart.” (Cinemax, 10 p.m.)
‘CRAZY HEART’
