 ‘SID THE SCIENCE KID’: Sid and his baby brother try to catch the light from a flashlight in this new episode (10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. KCET; 11 a.m. KVCR).   


Moguls and Movie Stars: A History of Hollywood:  The history of movies continues as Southern California begins to take its dominant role in the moviemaking world in this new episode (5 and 8 p.m. TCM). 

Matt Lauer Reports:  Former President George W. Bush discusses his upcoming book and defining decisions he has made in his personal and political lives (8 p.m. NBC). 

90210: Victor (Nestor Serrano) arranges for Joe Jonas (himself) to escort Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) to her magazine premiere party, forcing her to break a date with Navid (Michael Steger) in this new episode (8 p.m. KTLA).  

Rules of Engagement: Joan Collins guest stars as Russell’s (David Spade) mother in this new episode (8:30 p.m. CBS). 

The Event: Sterling (Zeljko Ivanek) finds himself questioning his judgment of the people around him when President Martinez (Blair Underwood) orders him to root out the mole from their staff while Sophia (Laura Innes) prepares Thomas (Clifton Collins Jr.) and the other detainees for the next leg of their mission in this new episode (9 p.m. NBC). 

Gossip Girl: Blair and Chuck (Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick) try to bury the hatchet in this new episode (9 p.m. KTLA). 

Hawaii Five-0: Danny’s (Scott Caan) ex-partner is found dead at a Hawaiian luau in this new episode (10 p.m. CBS). 

Chase:  In this new episode, a man (William Lee Scott) impersonates a U.S. marshal and attempts to capture fugitives, with deadly results (10 p.m. NBC). 

Castle:  During the investigation of a subway worker’s murder in Central Park, Castle and Beckett (Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic) stumble upon the violent kidnapping of a boy. Susan Sullivan, Molly Quinn and Ruben Santiago-Hudson also star in the new episode (10 p.m. ABC). 


American Doomsday:  This new special looks at the government playbook created with strategies for potential conflict during the cold war Cold War that was used for the first time during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 (7 and 10 p.m. National Geographic).  


Boxing: Rico Ramos vs. Heriberto Ruiz (5 p.m. ESPN2). 

Football: The Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Cincinnati Bengals (5:30 p.m. ESPN).
