Danny and Jackie (Donnie Wahlberg and Jennifer Esposito) must solve a murder and clear Jamie, in this new episode of “Blue Bloods” at 10 p.m. CBS.

SERIES


Smallville: Teri Hatcher, former star of “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” guest stars as Lois’ (Erica Durance) late mother in this new episode (8 p.m. KTLA).

Supernatural: What looks like a werewolf killing turns out to be the work of a skinwalker (Andrew Rothenberg) who’s taken the form of a family dog to avenge the dog’s owner’s enemies in this new episode (9 p.m. KTLA).

Need to Know: This new episode offers reports on the economy, the environment and energy, health, national security and culture (9 p.m. KCET).

Wizards of Waverly Place: After escaping from a government agency that was holding them captive, the Russos return home to find they no longer have contact with the wizard world in the season premiere (9:45 p.m. Disney).

Industrial Light & Magic: Creating the Impossible: This new special marks the 35th anniversary of the design studio with footage of milestones and interviews (9 p.m. Encore).

Avalon High: Based on a young adult novel by Meg Cabot, this new TV fantasy stars Britt Robertson as the new girl in school, who discovers her classmates are reincarnations of King Arthur and the members of his court. Gregg Sulkin, Joey Pollari, Molly Quinn and Steve Valentine also star (8 p.m. Disney). A Perfect Getaway: While on a Hawaiian vacation two couples (Milla Jovovich and Steve Zahn, Kiele Sanchez and Timothy Olyphant) become the targets of killers who have been combing the islands for potential victims. Marley Shelton and Chris Hemsworth co-star in this 2009 thriller (8:15 p.m. Cinemax).
