Is HLN due for some rehab? On Monday, the network announced that it would add to its primetime lineup, which currently features Nancy Grace and Joy Behar, a new talk show hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky, the medical professional behind such VH-1 fare as ‘Celebrity Rehab,’ ‘Sober House’ and ‘Sex Rehab.’

‘I am thrilled to join HLN and I have no doubt that the natural fit I feel at the network will provide the opportunity to explore the stories behind the story and really explain the choices that people make,’ Pinsky said in a statement.

According to HLN, the show, which premieres in the spring, will ‘provide relevant observations and perspectives on the news stories and newsmakers HLN covers throughout the day.’ He will also discuss relationships and addiction while ‘finding constructive ways to navigate common struggles facing parents and their children alike.”

“Dr. Drew informs and inspires audiences on subjects that matter most to them and their families, and he is an ideal fit for the HLN network,” Scot Safon, executive vice president at HLN, said in a statement. “Whether the topics are in the news or simply in the daily lives of our audience, Dr. Drew will shed light, provide crucial information and give viewers something to talk -- and think -- about.”
