“The Vampire Diaries” has enlisted former “Supernatural” actress Lauren Cohan as a new vampire, who comes to Mystic Falls, the CW confirms.

Cohan’s character, Rose, is described as a sexy and tough, yet elegant, vampire with more than 500 years of bloodsucking experience. For those worried about Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) recent dry spell this season, Zap2It reports that Rose might catch Damon’s eye.

On Sunday at New York Comic-Con, “Vampire Diaries” co-creator Julie Plec said, “I think by the time the show is over, Damon will have had sex with every man, woman and child in Mystic Falls.” Could Rose be one of the many?

Cohan makes her debut as Rose in the self-titled Nov. 4 episode “Rose.” She’ll also appear in the Nov. 11 episode, with the possibility for more in the future.

For those who aren’t familiar with Cohan, check out a clip of her guns-blazing introduction as Bela Talbot on “Supernatural” here.

Readers, are you excited by this casting news? Looking forward to Damon possibly meeting his match and getting some?
