‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ get Giggy with it at premiere party

It was a true Hollywood affair. Expensive designer frocks. Diamonds dripping from ears and hanging from necks. A heavy dose of glistening spray tans. Sky-high heels. Polished cuff links. Plenty of Botox. A pint-sized dog … and a blue Power Ranger?
The flash bulbs were flickering Monday night at the Trousdale in West Hollywood as the six ladies -- Adrienne Maloof, Kim and Kyle Richards, Camille Grammer, Lisa VenderPump, and Taylor Armstrong -- of Bravo’s latest iteration in the “Housewives” franchise made their debut at a premiere party for the show that sheds light on L.A.’s microcosm of extreme wealth.
“People are going to see what it’s like to be a housewife in 90210,” Armstrong said.
Apparently it means attending parties with a questionable guest list.
Giggy (Lisa’s pint-sized pooch) walked the red carpet in a bedazzled ensemble -- “He’s Lisa’s real man,” said Lisa’s husbad Ken Todd, before the canine was whisked away for pictures. For reasons unknown, Latoya Jackson -- just as bedazzled -- also walked the carpet. David Yost (the onetime member of ‘The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’) didn’t, but at least he was on the guest list! Not to be outdone, Paris and the rest of her Hilton breed were also on deck.
And when the Hiltons are around, there’s no shortage of drama. Sister duo Kim and Kyle, both former child stars, clash at times in the premiere episode and throughout the season.
“That was the biggest surprise of the show … our big clash,” Kyle said, later sharing with reporters that the her relationship with her sister was strained at the moment.
But clashes are to be expected in a series known for its high-octane drama. And Grammer, a former dancer who recently divorced actor Kelsey Grammer, assured reporters that tensions arise several times over the span of the season. “We’re very strong women who are independent … There’s no table flipping but there is drama,” she said.
“We’re shedding some light on this lifestyle,” Armstrong said. “Behind all of this glamor, there are some real-life problems going on.”
But don’t let the un-flipped furniture fool you.
“We have the highest heels; we’d absolutely win a fight with any other ‘Housewives’ [series],” Taylor said.
‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ premieres Thursday on Bravo.
