GOING ONCE, GOING TWICE: Jason wheels out a Vespa for auction in the premiere of the unscripted series “Auctioneer$” at 10 and 10:30 p.m. on TLC.

Ask This Old House: The home improvement Q&A series returns with new episodes (Noon KLCS and 2 p.m. KVCR) and big sister series “This Old House” also premieres a new season (1:30 p.m. KVCR).

Iconoclasts: Musician Lenny Kravitz and director Lee Daniels are profiled in this new episode (9 p.m. Sundance).

Austin City Limits: Indie rockers Spoon perform in this new episode (11 p.m. KLCS).

Saturday Night Live: Jane Lynch hosts with musical guest Bruno Mars (11:29 p.m. NBC).

Strangers on a Train: In this 1951 thriller from director Alfred Hitchcock, an unstable playboy (Robert Walker) meets tennis pro Guy (Farley Granger) on a train with a proposition. Bruno wants his father dead so he can have Mom to himself. Guy wants his estranged wife out of the picture so he can remarry. Bruno suggests they each kill the other’s nemesis (5 p.m. TCM).

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre: A true screen classic, this 1948 adventure from director-screenwriter John Huston explores the darker side of human nature. Humphrey Bogart, Tim Holt and Walter Huston play fortune-seekers whose quest for gold crumbles with suspicion and murder (7 p.m. TCM).

Stripes: Bill Murray stars as a wry recruit in director Ivan Reitman’s 1981 service comedy. Harold Ramis portrays his best buddy, who decides to enlist with him, and Warren Oates is cast as their strict sergeant. John Candy also appears memorably as an overweight enlistee (10 p.m. Spike).

SPORTS College football: Alabama at South Carolina (12:30 p.m. CBS); Michigan State at Michigan (12:30 p.m. ABC); UCLA at California (12:30 p.m. FS Prime); Oregon State at Arizona (4 p.m. VS); LSU at Florida (4:30 p.m. ESPN); Auburn at Kentucky (4:30 p.m. ESPN2); USC at Stanford (5 p.m. ABC).

Baseball: Playoffs: The Tampa Bay Rays visit the Texas Rangers (2 p.m. TBS); the Minnesota Twins visit the New York Yankees (5:30 p.m. TBS).

Hockey: The Ducks visit the Nashville Predators (5 p.m. KDOC); the Kings visit the Vancouver Canucks (7 p.m. FSN).
