'Glee' meets 'Rocky Horror' preview: Let's do the 'Time Warp'
Next Tuesday, “Glee” will take on the 1975 cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” The film celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, and fittingly, “Glee” stars Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison will also participate in a musical tribute show to benefit Paul Newman's The Painted Turtle camp. The event, which features a costume ball and a laundry list of stars — Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Billy Idol, Evan Rachel Wood, Mario Lopez, Jason Segel, Ricki Lake — will take place Oct. 28 at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.
But if you can't make it to L.A. or simply can't wait for next week's “Glee,” here's a preview of the show's version of “Time Warp.” Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Santana (Naya Rivera) share the role of Magenta in the episode, but Agron takes on the vocals in this number.

Readers, is this a worthy tribute? Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) sure seems to like it.

A: That clip was completely clueless and emasculated.
B: There are 2 Columbias, not Magentas.

This does not look promising.

Actually you have 2 Columbias AND 2 Magentas. My only problem is Mercedes as Frankenfurter. Just doesn't fit right. I guess I'm just old school.

Love it. Guess what? I saw the original cast of "Rocky Horror" on Broadway in the early 70s (I' m 64 but I love "Glee") and this was more enjoyable. I was embarrassed when I saw it. It was too "campy' for me . Now, thanks to "Glee," I understand it. Make sense?
It is not supposed to be.

What fun, mindless by intention and harmless by today's "standards" ~
runner26 has it right ~ I also remember being very uncomfortable at first in 1975, then seeing how over the top the whole thing was, got into its spirit. That's what this clip resurrects for me: the joyous rhythm and timing of TIME WARP AGAIN. This is a tribute, not a re-creation of the original. Quit being cynical and nit-picky: just enjoy the moment.

They nailed it - as much as they could for network TV.

Bad, but not completely hateable except for the miscasting of Magenta (Agron) – the voice should have been sultry, not schoolgirl. And Monteith just can't sing very well, period. Colfer, as usual, was the standout.

I think that this is a great, fun cover of this song. For television at 8pm you can't get to mature, so this was perfect!!

Dear God... They killed it. I really like Glee, but this is terrible. No school like the old school.
