Anyone else a little saddened that we won’t have a new episode of “Fringe” waiting in our DVRs this week? Stupid baseball.

Well, there’s still a chance to get your “Fringe” fix this week. As long as you can make it to Los Angeles by 5 p.m. Sunday (“Fringe” fans in New England might need to hit the road immediately).

“Fringe” executive producers Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman and John Noble (as Walter Bishop himself) will be coming to Meltdown Comics in Hollywood on Sunday the 24th, and they’ll be bringing a few items from the alternate universe to sell to the highest bidder. All to benefit the charity Autism Speaks.

What items will be up for auction? Why Meltdown Comics? The answer to both questions is the same. Back in the finale of “Fringe” Season Two, we got a peek at Peter’s alternate apartment, where he had several framed comic books, my favorite being the Red Lantern/Red Arrow issue. Those five comic book covers (all created by DC Comics artists) will be up for bids. Along with the comic books, there will be several props from the show on display, including Newton’s laser scalpel from Episode 210, an alternate universe inhaler from Episode 303, along with a Nixon coin and a Martin Luther King $20 bill from Episode 221. Only on display, though. Not for auction. Which is too bad. I’d love to get my hands on that Nixon coin.

It’s the classic win-win-win situation. You get to heap praise on Noble, Pinkner and Wyman for the wonderful third season (and possibly get an autograph out of them), you get to bid on these otherworldly artifacts with the possibility of donating to Autism Speaks’ research and advocacy, and you’ll probably end up buying a couple of comic books. Meltdown has one of my favorite graphic novel inventories in town. (You might want to stalk up on “Walking Dead” collections before the show premieres next week.)

Oh, and you might see me, too. How much more could you ask for?
