ABC pulls the plug on 'The Whole Truth' but will air all episodes
ABC's "The Whole Truth" joins three other freshmen series that failed to make the grade this fall.
The drama, starring Rob Morrow and Maura Tierney, will complete production on 13 episodes, according to co-executive producer Kristie Anne Reed, who tweeted Tuesday morning that ABC "gave us the word." ABC will air all 13 episodes, though the show will be preempted for two specials for the next two weeks.
Fox's "Lone Star," NBC's "Outlaw," which is airing remaining episodes on Saturdays, and ABC's "My Generation" have already been canceled. NBC's "Undercovers" and Fox's "Running Wilde" are on shaky ground and will probably also face elimination.
On Monday, ABC gave extra episode orders to the drama "Detroit 1-8-7," but the Michael Imperioli-led drama hasn't earned a full-season order.
The rest of the freshman class indeed has.

That stinks that they canceled "The Whole Truth!" I really liked and love Maura Tierney in it. Geez, give it a chance!

I have to agree with the other comments, cancelling The Whole Truth is a mistake. Why? Its only been on 3-4 times!!

I am super disappointed to hear that the whole truth is being cancelled. It was the new show that I was most looking forward to this fall. I really enjoyed this show and have been upset each week that it was not on in favor of stupid programming like this weeks people's most beautiful people which I won't be giving my ratings to. I hope that ABC realizes that by cancelling shows so quickly that the public will begin to lose faith in their company. I don't watch any new programing on NBC because the last several shows I became interested in were cancelled. If the networks don't care about the audience than why should we care about the networks.

I agree with the rest of the comments about The Whole Truth. ABC & NBC could learn a lot from CBS. Take off the reality crap and keep the good stuff for people with a brain. What is wrong with you people???????

I knew this would happen to one of the best new shows-The Whole Truth. This is a great show-good writing, acting, etc. ABC always pulls the plug too soon and that is why I hesitate to become invested in one of their "new" shows. Same with Flashforward (should have been in a later timeslot), The Forgotten and others. I do watch DWTS and Grey's-but that's about it for ABC. I too have been telling friends and family to watch this show-give it a chance!!!!

Canceling The Whole Truth and leaving The Middle. What's the matter with ABC? Are you ignorant. The Whole Truth was a fresh way to view a trial. The Middle is totally stupid but that one stays on. Give me a break!

So disappointing!! The Whole Truth is an intelligent well-written show with a great cast. How can bad shows make it when good shows get cancelled after 4 episodes.

I thought "The Whole Truth" was the best show in years. It was a thinking person's show and I am sick and tired of having to watch what the networks spew out to what they view as the common crowd; we’re not that stupid.

I am really disappointed The Whole Truth was canceled. I watched it every week either on air or online. I didn't like how late it came on, but I stayed up to watch it. I really wish ABC would give the show some more time or perhaps switch it to another day or time slot does not have as much competition. When will the other shows air? All that is playing on ABC on the time slot now is the Circus?

It's hard to believe a show of this caliber didn't garner enough attention to remain on the air. It's a very entertaining show and I hope this decision is reviewed and over turned. Judging from the many comments appearing hear I'm certainly not alone in my opinion and wish.8m9pw8

Are you kidding another good show pulled? I liked this show and The Gates which abc canceled. They canceled these series but other bad shows continue to air. Who is making these bad calls?

I can not understand that a show like Cougar remains and this one gets the boot....Looks like the networks would rather we rented movies from Redbox and skip their nighttime line ups... I really enjoyed this show!!!!! Sorry to see THE WHOLE TRUTH become another MISTAKE on the part of ABC...

Another great show bites the dust!!! I think I may quit watching tv altogether. I can't believe it. I loved this show. I loved seeing who was right in the end and now they are "pulling the plug". Who decides these things?

I'm am so disappointed. The whole truth is a great show with an excellent story line. This show has the potential to be as popular as NCIS or other #1 hits. Please reconsider ABC! Its a very unique show, one that highlights the pros and cons of the American Justice System.

This is why I have started watching shows on Cable Networks! Network TV sucks! EVERY good show that comes out gets canceled and they leave mindless junk on.

Every fall I audtion new shows, and then I commit to watching a few every week. I get to know the characters and then poof...the network cancels the show. I'm getting tired of this. I'm thinking I will stop watching shows on these trigger happy networks and just watch movies I get off Netflix. no committment...just like the NETWORKS !

I really love the show The Whole Truth. I don't watch too many of the cop shows because they're all the same but this show was a lot of fun. I hope it will be given another chance!
