Come Dine With Me: A young dinner party novice and a Belgian food snob clash as the unscripted series returns with new episodes (7 and 10 p.m. BBC America).

The Universe: This new episode of the science-based series looks at space probes — which have found the building blocks of life in the tail of a comet and water on other planets — and ponders if they may one day find a new planet much like Earth, or even make contact with other life forms (8 p.m. History).

POV: Scottish filmmaker Amy Hardie investigates the human subconscious in the new documentary “The Edge of Dreaming” (8:30 p.m. KCET).

Rookie Blue: Andy and Swarek (Missy Peregrym, Ben Bass) put their relationship issues aside after an inmate escapes during a prisoner transport and they must track him down in this new episode (9 p.m. ABC).

The First 48: This new episode revisits the case of teenage mom arrested and charged with robbery and murder (9 p.m. A&E).

The Real Housewives of D.C.: Michaele invites everyone to her winery for an old-fashioned grape stomp in a new episode of this unscripted series that is sure to resonate with “I Love Lucy” fans (9 p.m. Bravo).

Project Runway: The remaining designers are divided into two teams and assigned to create a cohesive design line to match 2010 hair trends. Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn star in this new episode (9 p.m. Lifetime).

Nightline Prime — Secrets of Your Mind: Why We Do What We Do: This new episode goes inside the mind of a psychopath to examine the origins of evil or violent behavior, specifically whether people can be born with a predisposition to bad behavior (10 p.m. ABC).
