Could we be seeing Dunder Mifflin shipped out to China in the upcoming season of NBC’s “The Office”?

Don’t worry. No need for a spoiler alert. Dwight and the gang won’t need to learn Mandarin or Cantonese. And it’s not how they plan to write Steve Carell’s Michael Scott out of the show either.

But it looks like Ricky Gervais is looking to launch a Chinese version of the workplace comedy.

“We are about to start work on developing a Chinese ‘The Office,’” the comedian wrote on his blog Thursday. “I’m worried they will pull out when they see the first episode of An Idiot Abroad though.”

Gervais, who created and starred in the original British version, is a producer on the U.S. adaptation of “The Office,” which starts its seventh season on Sept. 23.
