Jenna Fischer has had quite a ride for six years on the NBC comedy “The Office,” but this summer she’s working behind the scenes producing the absurdist comedy “Sad Happy Sucker,” written by her husband, Lee Kirk, at Silver Lake’s Lyric-Hyperion Theatre.

The play, about an alienated young man who finds himself stuck physically and metaphorically in his backyard, opens Friday and runs through Oct. 10.

What’s it like being a producer? Fischer will be at our sister blog Culture Monster for a live chat at 11 a.m. PDT Friday to answer questions about her work in the theater (and maybe even a few “Office” questions, too).

So head on over to Culture Monster on Friday or set a reminder now to talk to Jenna Fischer!
