‘Mad Men’ writer Erin Levy shared her writing win with boss Matt Weiner on Sunday.

But that’s not all she owes him. Levy met Weiner when she was a student at USC and she took Weiner’s rewriting class. She wrote a screenplay, and he kept in touch with her and offered a job as a writer’s assistant in the third season.

Then, just like Don Draper did with Peggy Olson, Weiner gave her a shot to do a little more than assisting.

The only difference? ‘Matt is probably a bit more nurturing towards me and he’s been a fantastic mentor and he’s believed in me.’

Take that, Don!
