Emmys 2010: How 'Top Chef' beat 'The Amazing Race' behind the scenes
"The Amazing Race's" amazing streak is over, and "Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi thinks she had something to do with that.
"Top Chef" beat the CBS series for outstanding reality competition on Sunday.
"I was really, really mean to the host of 'Amazing Race' on the red carpet. I think I hit him thrice with my purse, and I told him I was taking him down," she said backstage.
Lakshmi and judges Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons said they were going to the Governors Ball for their "perfect dinner."
"Start with caviar...it has a little protein, helps us retain water," Simmons advised.
But the beautiful Lakshmi begged to differ: "A cheeseburger with macaroni and cheese."

Top Chef won an Emmy even though the cast for Season 7 is the most lackluster in the series? 0_o

@ C.D. Reimer: My guess is that the Emmy nomination and win were for last season.

Keep in mind the Emmy was for Season 6 in Vegas. This season in DC doesn't even compare and is a snoozefest.
