'The Situation' adds 'Dancing With the Stars' to his GTL 'Jersey Shore' schedule
Do you remember last season's "Jersey Shore: Reunion?" The cast was asked who the best dancer was and they unanimously voted Ronnie.
Then they asked who the worst was and, again, it was unanimous. "The Situation" won that round.
Well, OK magazine reported Monday that the man with the golden abs will compete on "Dancing With the Stars."
We've been hard at work confirming this development, and even though ABC does not discuss these matters until host Tom Bergeron officially announces the show's new cast before each season, sources close to the dance competition confirm that Mike Sorrentino will be dancing his heart away with all those other, ahem, stars.
The costumes alone will make us watch! We can also picture "The Situation" showing his abs to the judges for extra points when his wardrobe covers his biggest asset. Bruno, take a Valium. Or two.
Another thing we wondered: Does "The Situation" know what he's getting himself into? How is he gonna fit GTL (that's the stay-cool process of gym, tan, laundry) into all those hours of practice?
What do you think? Does this make you wish it was already Sept. 20 so you can watch him incorporate fist-pumping into a samba or a waltz?
Or are you all Situation'ed out?

If true, this is DWTS jump the shark moment. At the very least, they need to change the name to Dancing With The Non-talented Celebrities. I know for sure that I won't waste my time watching this mess any more.

That's it for me. I have loved watching DWTS since season 1, but after horrible, hateful Kate and now this moronic nobody, I am finally done. People from reality shows are not stars; don't know them, don't want too and I won't watch anymore. You have killed the golden goose ABC.

Like they say - Dancing with the D-listers. Yawn.

I love how hung up people get on what the definition of a "star" is. For those of you who don't know, half the people you call stars aren't officially very talented. They are just lucky enough to have a following, something Mr. Sorrentino has proven he definitely has eyeballs and that translates into DOLLARS for him and the network.

So the little show that could on MTV climbed to the top position for one week in August, when broadcast networks fill prime with crap, and a star is born. This is not a sign that "The Situation" is now a "star", but rather it's time for DWTS to pack it in. Going out with dignity is now out of the question, so just go.

Maybe they can get one of the Real Housewives of someplace (ideally, Teresa or Danielle from New Jersey) into the cast as well. Folks, the show jumped the shark last season when Kate Gosselin was in the "cast" -- it's all downhill from here.

Why do you people read these articles if you aren't a fan of the show or the cast members? Honestly. Get a life.
