July 13, 2010 |  6:14 pm

Evolove There are few things more annoying than a commercial jingle being stuck in your head. It’s worse when it involves lyrics about credit scores. But for quite some time, the ditties offered by the guitar-strumming guy — known to his friends as Eric Violette — have infiltrated our homes and our subconscious.

But in case you weren’t aware, Violette and his band are no longer offering silly tunes to sing along with during commercial breaks. But don’t fret. If you’ve resorted to singing the jingle to in the absence of Violette, is looking to recapture your vocal chords. Experian, the parent company of and the new site, is conducting a nationwide talent search for the band. During the monthlong coast-to-coast band search, more than 100 bands performed in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

[For the record: 11:33 p.m.: An earlier version of of this post incorrectly stated that was rebranding itself as; the website will remain; is launched as a new separate site.]

Among the four finalists is Evolove (that’s not a typo) from Los Angeles. They along with the other finalists filmed their renditon of’s newest national commercial set to air on the Fox broadcast of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on Tuesday night. Evolove is no stranger to the TV circuit. Its song “Lie To Me” was featured on the July 6 episode ABC Family's  of “Pretty Little Liars” -- the third song the band has placed in this new series. And it's not worried about losing cool points should they be minted the new jingle pushers.

"It's not very often that a band can be so known so quickly," said lead singer Lucy Levnsohn. "But we can't make it if we don't have our own city behind us."

Viewers can vote for their favorite band over at between now and Aug. 9. The winning band will become the band and take home a $10,000 check, among other prizes.

So tell your friends, tell your dad, tell your mom to vote.
