Terrence Howard is no longer part of the “Iron Man” franchise, but he’s landed a new high-profile gig.

Howard has been cast in NBC’s “Law & Order: Los Angeles,” where he will play a deputy district attorney. He will split the district attorney duties with Alfred Molina, who was previously signed.

The casting of Howard, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in “Hustle & Flow,” is a coup for Dick Wolf, the creator of the “Law & Order” franchise. Howard has starred in several films, including “Ray” and “Crash.”
