Sunday's TV Highlights: 'Scoundrels' on ABC

Et-l4dbwqnc.1‘SCOUNDRELS’: Cheryl (Virginia Madsen) realizes she may need a good attorney on a new episode at 9 p.m. on ABC.


Earth Wonders: This new travel series opens with visits to Niagara Falls, Africa's Ngorongoro crater, Redwoods National Park, Iceland's glaciers and Bora Bora (8 p.m. Travel). A second new episode follows at 9.

Masterpiece Mystery! A demon-haunted heiress is convinced she has committed murder, but Poirot (David Suchet) believes she is innocent. An eccentric crime novelist (Zoe Wanamaker) — a character said to be modeled on author Agatha Christie — helps crack the case in the new episode “The Third Girl” (9 p.m. KCET).

The Gates: A hunter who has gone missing brings unwanted attention to Brett (Colton Haynes) and his pack, while Nick and Dylan (Frank Grillo, Luke Mably) try to put their differences aside during a father-daughter dance (10 p.m. ABC).

The Glades: While helping Callie's (Kiele Sanchez) son (Uriah Shelton) collect bugs in a heavily wooded area for a school science project, Jim (Matt Passmore) finds an abandoned airplane with a dead body inside (10 p.m. A&E).


Beauty and the Beast: To save her father, a Frenchwoman (Josette Day) offers her life to a nobleman (Jean Marais) under a beastly curse in Jean Cocteau's breathtaking 1946 adaptation of the famous fairy tale (5 p.m. TCM).

Revenge of the Bridesmaids: Raven-Symone and JoAnna Garcia star in this new romantic comedy about two New York women who return to their small Southern hometown and discover that a close friend has lost the love of her life to their ex-friend, a conniving gold digger (8 and 10 p.m. ABC Family).


Baseball: The Tampa Bay Rays visit the New York Yankees (10 a.m. TBS); the Dodgers visit the St. Louis Cardinals (11 a.m. KCAL); the Seattle Mariners visit the Angels (12:30 p.m. MyNet).

Golf: American Century Championship final (Noon NBC).

Soccer: The Celtic visit the Seattle Sounders (Noon ESPN).

Cycling: Tour de France: Stage 15, from Pamiers to Bagneres-de-Luchon. (4:30 a.m. VS).

I never cared for Virginia Madsen, until this series. I think she does a great job and is very convincing in her role. I thought the cast on a "whole" is good too. I hope the series stays around for awhile.
