OFFICER DOWN: A retired cop is found murdered in this new episode of “The Bridge,” at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Don’t Be a Victim: Spike TV devotes a block of programming to helping Saturday morning viewers learn to protect themselves, beginning at 9 a.m. Spike starts with “What If,” which ponders how certain situations would have turned out had crime victims been armed. That’s followed by “Practical Tactical” at 10 and a visit to “Conceal & Carry School” at 10:30.

Celebrity Ghost Stories: Michael Imperioli, Joan Collins, Donna D’Errico and Corey Feldman share supernatural tales in this new episode (6 and 10 p.m. Biography). That’s followed by the premiere of the series “My Ghost Story” at 7 and 11 p.m.

Expedition Great White: Paul Walker helps the team capture a 16-foot female in this new episode (7 and 10 p.m. National Geographic).

Road to Morocco: In this 1942 comedy, their third “Road” picture, Bob Hope and Bing Crosby star as two shipwrecked stowaways who ride a camel and meet a beautiful princess (Dorothy Lamour), whom they rescue from a desert chief (Anthony Quinn) (5 p.m. TCM).

The Invention of Lying: As co-director, co-writer, a producer and the star of this 2009 comedy, Ricky Gervais is the only person evidently capable of telling fibs in the world he occupies. Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe and Tina Fey also star (8 p.m. HBO).

Goblin: A vacation becomes a nightmare when a malevolent sprite steals a family’s baby in this new TV thriller starring Camille Sullivan and Donnelly Rhodes (9 p.m. Syfy).

Two Weeks Notice: Fans of Sandra Bullock and/or Hugh Grant should like their teaming in this light but enjoyable 2002 comedy about a lawyer (Bullock) hired by a womanizing real-estate tycoon (Grant). Robert Klein, Dana Ivey and Alicia Witt also star (9:30 p.m. ABC Family).

SPORTS

Golf: British Open: Third round (6 a.m. ESPN). Final round (3 and 5 a.m. Sunday ESPN), from Scotland. American Century Championship, second round (Noon NBC).
