‘Chase’ is an action drama centering on a team of U.S. marshals as they hunt down some of America’s most dangerous fugitives. Leading the elite team is Annie Frost, a native Texan who wears boots and excels at her job. On the team are Jimmy, who matches Annie in smarts; chatty Marco, who apparently has been through some stuff; weapons/tactical specialist Daisy; and a very green marshal, Luke.

Who’s in it: Kelli Giddish (‘Past Life’) as Annie; Cole Hauser (‘K-Ville’) as Jimmy; Amaury Nolasco (‘Prison Break’) as Marco; Rose Rollins (‘The L Word’) as Daisy; and Jesse Metcalfe (‘Desperate Housewives’) as Luke.

Who made it: Jennifer Johnson of ‘Cold Case’ wrote it and is producing it with Jerry Bruckheimer Television.

Thumbs up: Cast has chemistry and credibility. The crime story is interesting, and the episode moves very well.

Thumbs down: It’s another cop show.

Verdict: It doesn’t move the cop genre forward, but it feels contemporary and is worth spending more time on.
