Paul McCartney: In Performance at the White House: The former Beatle accepts the prestigious Gershwin Prize for Popular Song in a music-filled special hosted by President and Mrs. Barack Obama. The program includes performances by the former Beatle, as well as Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Herbie Hancock, Corinne Bailey Rae, Dave Grohl, the Jonas Brothers, Faith Hill, Emmylou Harris, Lang Lang and Jack White (8 and 9:30 p.m. KCET).

Plain Jane: British fashion expert Louise Roe hosts this new unscripted series in which women receive head-to-toe makeovers (9 p.m. KTLA).

Billy the Exterminator: In a departure for the usual routine, Billy and his brother go to the Gulf Coast and see the oil spill’s devastation in this new episode (10 p.m. A&E).

Work of Art: The Next Great Artist: The latest team challenge calls for the remaining artists to work in pairs to create works about opposing forces such as heaven and hell, male and female, and order and chaos. New York artist Ryan McGinness is a guest judge for the new episode (10 p.m. Bravo).

24 Hour Restaurant Battle: Chicago-area best friends take on Texas sisters in a new episode of this unscripted competition series, judges include Karine Bakhoum, Ben Leventhal and Marcus Samuelsson and Scott Conant hosts (10 p.m. Food).

Pros vs. Joes: Michael Vick appears in this new episode (10 p.m. Spike).

Hot in Cleveland: In this new episode, Melanie’s ex-husband comes to woo her and Joy and Victoria can’t help but get too involved (10 p.m. TV Land).

MOVIES

Lucky: Filmmaker Jeffrey Blitz examines how winning the lottery changes the lives of average Americans in this TV documentary (11:15 p.m. HBO).

SPORTS
