SERIES

Locked Up Abroad: Billy Hayes, subject of the 1978 film “Midnight Express,” tells the real story of being sent to Turkey's infamous Sagmalcilar prison, and his escape after five years, in the season premiere of the documentary series (7 and 10 p.m. National Geographic).

Work of Art: The Next Great Artist: For this week's challenge, artists must create a memorable piece that is also shocking and reflects important personal issues for them in a new episode of the unscripted series (10 p.m. Bravo).

The Real World: Strangers move to New Orleans as the unscripted series returns for a new season (10 p.m. MTV).

Toddlers & Tiaras: Children are encouraged to let their inner diva shine in Brooklyn's Darling Divas pageant in this new episode (10 p.m. TLC).

In Plain Sight: The series revolving around U.S. marshals working in the Witness Protection Program offers its season finale (10 p.m. USA).

SPECIALS

Lethal Action: This new special investigates three high-profile shootouts — a North Hollywood bank robbery, a Taliban revolt in an Afghan fort and a drug war in Colombia — to reveal how split-second decisions and twists of fate determined who lived and who died (5 and 8 p.m. National Geographic).

MOVIES

Bell, Book and Candle: A lovely New York witch (Kim Novak) uses her powers of enchantment to break up a charming book publisher's (James Stewart) wedding plans. Elsa Lanchester and Jack Lemmon also star in this 1958 comedy (7 p.m. TCM).

Tennis: Wimbledon: Men's Quarterfinals (10 a.m. ESPN2); Women's Semifinals (4 a.m. ESPN2).

Baseball: The Pittsburgh Pirates visit the Chicago Cubs (11 a.m. WGN A); the Dodgers visit the San Francisco Giants (12:30 p.m. FS Prime); the Texas Rangers visit the Angels (7 p.m. FSN).

College baseball: NCAA World Series Championship, Game 3 (if necessary): South Carolina vs. UCLA (4:30 p.m. ESPN).

WPS Soccer: All-Star Game (5 p.m. FS Prime).
