SUNDAYBrooke Elliott returns as big and beautiful lady lawyer Jane Bingum as last summer’s surprise hit, the fantasy-comedy-drama “Drop Dead Diva,” returns for its sophomore season. Margaret Cho also stars. (Lifetime, 9 p.m.)

MONDAY

Hard work, long hours, time-tested traditions and new technologies: This is what modern-day cattle ranching looks like at three family-owned and -operated outfits in Montana, as documented in the new series “Last American Cowboy.” (Animal Planet, 10 p.m.)

TUESDAY

It seems that girls and gossip go together like, well, “Gossip Girl.” Or like “Pretty Little Liars,” a new teen drama about a quartet of high-schoolers pulling double duty on rumor patrol and damage control. With Lucy Hale. (ABC Family, 8 p.m.)

WEDNESDAY

So there’s the CMA Awards, and the ACM Awards, and we’re pretty sure the Grammy folks hand out a country-music trophy or two. Must not be enough, though, because there’s also the “CMT Music Awards 2010.” Kid Rock hosts. (CMT, 8 p.m.)

THURSDAY

One talks a whole lot, and the other doesn’t say much of anything. That’s right, it’s comedy-and-magic duo “Penn & Teller” back for another season of their irreverent cable show, the complete title of which leaves us speechless. (Showtime, 10 p.m.)

FRIDAY

Are you ready for some football, er, soccer? Alicia Keys, John Legend, Shakira and the ubiquitous Black Eyed Peas help get the ball rolling at the “2010 FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert” in Johannesburg, South Africa. (ABC, 8 p.m.)

SATURDAY

We knew Borat, we served with Borat, and you, “Brüno” are no Borat … but you still make us laugh. Sacha Baron Cohen gets back to the business of pushing people’s buttons as his faux-fashionista alter ego in this 2009 comedy. (Cinemax, 10 p.m.)

DO THE MATH

“Jon and Kate Plus 8” minus Jon equals — c’mon, you know this — that’s right, “Kate Plus 8.” Tune in to see the former Mrs. Gosselin wrangle her sizable brood without the help of a hubby in this revamped reality series. (TLC, 9 and 10 p.m. Sun.)

A rogue’s gallery of stand-up comedians — including Sarah Silverman, Louis CK, Janeane Garofalo, Larry Miller, Margaret Cho, Kathy Griffin and Franklyn Ajaye — talk a little shop in the new special “I Am Comic.” (Showtime, 11 p.m. Fri.)

FLASHBACK

You don’t need a hot-tub time machine to revisit the 1980s, just “Adventureland.” Jesse Eisenberg and “Twilight’s” Kristen Stewart star in this 2009 comedy about summer jobs and crushes. (Showtime, 9 p.m. Sat.)
