Sunday's TV Highlights: The Indianapolis 500 on ABC
START YOUR ENGINES: ABC airs the 94th running of the Indianapolis 500, from Indianapolis Motor Speedway, at 10 a.m. Pictured: Mario Romancini of Brazil.
Cold Case: Lilly (Kathryn Morris) and her team investigate the murder of an accomplished 45-year-old Mexican-born jockey who disappeared within hours of losing a race that he had planned to be his last. Jacob Vargas and Rick Batalla guest star in this repeat, with Danny Pino, John Finn, Jeremy Ratchford, Thom Barry and Tracie Thoms (10 p.m. CBS).
Interrogating Saddam: FBI agent George Piro interrogates Saddam Hussein after his capture in 2003. (N) (1 hr.) “Interrogating Saddam” (7 p.m. National Geographic).
National Memorial Day Concert (2010): Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna co-host the annual concert honoring the men and women of America's military. Broadcast from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., the special features a guest list that includes Colin Powell, Lionel Richie, Brad Paisley, Dennis Haysbert, Katherine Jenkins, Kelli O'Hara and Yolanda Adams. Jack Everly conducts the National Symphony Orchestra (8 and 9:30 p.m. KCET).
Mister Roberts: In this 1955 screen version of the stage hit, Henry Fonda reprises his stage role as the an officer on a minesweeper who acts as a buffer between the crew and their stern captain (James Cagney). Jack Lemmon earned an Oscar for his star-making performance as Ensign Pulver. With William Powell and Martin Milner. Henry Fonda and Jack Lemmon (5 p.m. TCM).
Taking Chance: Kevin Bacon stars as the military escort who accompanies the body of a 19-year-old killed in Iraq, home to Wyoming. Blanche Baker, Guy Boyd and Benjamin Dawley-Anderson also star in this 2009 TV movie (9 p.m. HBO).
IndyCar Racing: Indianapolis 500 (10 a.m. ABC).
College softball: NCAA Super Regional (10 a.m. ESPN and 12:30 p.m. ESPN).
Baseball: The Dodgers visit the Colorado Rockies (Noon FS Prime); the Seattle Mariners visit the Angels (12:30 p.m. MyNet).
