‘So You Think You Can Dance’ returns Thursday night for its seventh season, and host Cat Deeley is very excited about all of the changes to the show, including the top 10 competitors being paired up with All-Stars from previous seasons.

We caught up with Deeley earlier this month at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, where workers made our videotaped interview a bit raucous. But watch the videos and you’ll see a perfectly poised Deeley not missing a beat, even when huge carts of chairs are wheeled right behind her.

The ultra charming TV host (Come on Emmy folks, nominate her!) has been super busy since the sixth season ended. She hosted ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ in England, created a new TV show that she’s hoping to sell soon, traveled to Madagascar with UNICEF to film a documentary about mothers and babies, and has created a vintage jewelry line.

She describes the TV show she co-created with Dave Stewart as ‘Quiz Show’ meets ‘Treasure Hunt’ meets an entertainment show. And her jewelry line is called Cat Deeley Modern Vintage. Everyone knows Deeley is a fashion horse and is her own stylist on ‘SYTYCD.’

‘When we do auditions, I go to all the different vintage stores and I find these amazing pieces of jewelry,’ she said. ‘So I had this idea of taking the pieces that I’ve found and use them as inspiration and make them modern, too, for people at home who don’t have the time or the inclination or the know-how of how to go to vintage stores -- or find it all very scary or smelly, or whatever it is.’

She will sell her pieces on June 18 on QVC, her second visit to the home shopping network.

‘I recently told my Mum, If I could go back and tell my 8-year-old self that I’d be sitting in a room designing things and looking at sparkly stones and having boxes with my name on it and ribbon, I think I would have imploded from excitement,’ she said.

OK, time to hear from Deeley herself.

In this video, Deeley talks about how she landed the hosting job she loves so much and how she feels about the changes made to the show’s format this year.

Here, Deeley talks about this season’s auditions, what she admires and loves about the dancers, and why it’s so hard for her to say goodbye to them when they’re eliminated.

And, finally, Deeley dishes about her colleagues. We asked her to tell us something we don’t know about executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, judges Mary Murphy (who is serving as a choreographer this year) and Adam Shankman, and choreographers Mia Michaels (who is a judge this year), Lil C, Mandy Moore, Sonya Tayeh and Napoleon and Tabitha D’Umo (known as Nappytabs).

[UPDATED: A previous version of this post listed the date for Cat Deeley’s visit to QVC incorrectly as June 6. The correct date is June 18.]
