New 'True Blood' Season 3 trailer: 'I'm here to look after you'

In the new trailer for Season 3 of “True Blood,” the werewolves come out to play. Looks like Sam (Sam Trammell) will finally find himself in the company of other shape-shifters -- only they’re not oversized CGI-looking things like you might find in another vampire series. And after two seasons of playing the damsel in distress, Sookie (Anna Paquin) -- who, again, “looks like dinner” -- gets courageous and plans to search for her abducted vampire boyfriend, Bill (Stephen Moyer); only Bill does not wish to be found. Jason (Ryan Kwanten) is seeking the answers to life’s burning questions: Do Big Foot and Santa Claus exist? Meanwhile, Tara (Rutina Wesley) is getting her face licked. Oh-so-subtle Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) is inviting himself into people’s homes -- and he’s not taking “no” for an answer.

The new season premieres June 13 on HBO.

So what do you think Show Trackers? Does the trailer have you excited for Season 3?

I was ready to quit the series at the end of a supremely uninteresting Season 2, and I must say that trailer did nothing to change my mind.

It looks better than last season. Hope they stick to the books this time and not take another road just to showcase an actress with the same story over and over again each episode.

I have watched both seasons and read all of the books and I thoroughly enjoyed both. I will continue to watch the series I think HBO is doing a great job. And I will continue to read The Sookie Stackhouse Novels. Charlaine Harris is a very good author.

Very excited about new season. Can't wait to see more of the Sookie & Eric drama.
