SERIES

Naked Science: Airing in conjunction with Earth Day, the new episode "Earth From Above" provides fresh insights into the effect of human actions on some of nature's most precious and fragile ecosystems (6 and 9 p.m. National Geographic).

Modern Marvels: This new episode looks at helicopters, flying machines that were first imagined by Leonardo da Vinci and Thomas Edison long before their invention (8 p.m. History).

Supernatural: Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles) are kidnapped by the gods Kali, Ganesh and Bladur (Rekha Sharma, Keith Blackman Dallas, Adam Croasdell) and held hostage as bargaining chips to stop the apocalypse in this new episode (9 p.m. KTLA).

The Real Housewives of New York City: In this new episode, Ramona asks Avery to be her maid of honor (10 p.m. Bravo).

Project Runway: In the two-part finale's conclusion, the final three designers show their collections at Bryant Park (10 p.m. Lifetime). Sister-series "Models of the Runway" also wraps its season (11 p.m. Lifetime).

2010 NFL Draft: The NFL draft begins with the first round in prime time, followed by the remaining rounds on Friday and Saturday. (4:30 p.m. ESPN).

MOVIES

The Red Shoes: One of the most visually beautiful films ever made, this 1948 drama stars Moira Shearer as a dancer torn between her art and her new love: the composer of a ballet based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale (5 p.m. TCM).

Baseball: The Dodgers visit the Cincinnati Reds (4 p.m. FS Prime); the Detroit Tigers visit the Angels (7 p.m. FSN).

Basketball: NBA Playoffs: The Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Chicago Bulls (4 p.m. TNT); the Lakers visit the Oklahoma City Thunder (6:30 p.m. KCAL and TNT).

Hockey: NHL Playoffs: The Ottawa Senators visit the Pittsburgh Penguins (4 p.m. VS); the Chicago Blackhawks visit the Nashville Predators (6:30 p.m. VS); the Colorado Avalanche visit the San Jose Sharks (8 p.m. VS).
