OGRE: Mike Myers provides the voice for Shrek in the animated sequel ‘Shrek 2’ airing at 7 and 8:55 p.m. on TBS. SERIES

Doctor Who: The newly regenerated Doctor (Matt Smith) along with his trusted companion, Amy Pond (Karen Gillan), must save the world in less than 20 minutes from galactic police officer known as the Atraxi in the season premiere (6 and 9 p.m. BBC America).

The Graham Norton Show: The series returns for a new season with guests Christina Ricci; Ricky Gervais; Stephen Merchant and Pixie Lott (7:10 and 10:10 p.m. BBC America).

America’s Worst Driver: Four contestants travel from Sunset Boulevard to the L.A. freeways as they compete to be declared as the country’s worst driver, in this new episode (10 p.m. Travel).

Saturday Night Live: Ryan Phillippe hosts and Ke$ha performs in this new episode (11:29 p.m. NBC).

Shark Tale: Will Smith provides the voice of a musically inclined fish in this 2004 animated hit (8 p.m. ABC).

Patricia Cornwell’s The Front: In this second adaptation of Patricia Cornwell’s Win Garano novels, devious Massachusetts D.A. Monique Lamont (Andie MacDowell) earns the umbrage of a loosely knit organization of law enforcement agencies in the Boston suburb of Watertown known as The Front. Daniel Sunjata also stars in this new TV movies (9 and 11 p.m. Lifetime).

Hockey: NHL playoffs: The Boston Bruins visit the Buffalo Sabres (10 a.m. NBC); the Montreal Canadiens visit the Washington Capitals (4 p.m. VS); the Kings visit the Vancouver Canucks (7 p.m. FSN and VS).

Baseball: The Angels visit the Toronto Blue Jays (10 a.m. FSN); the San Francisco Giants visit the Dodgers (1 p.m. Fox).
