We expected Wednesday’s Newsmaker Luncheon series starring some of reality TV’s biggest producers to be lively.

But we got so much more.

Hosted by Chris Harrison of ‘The Bachelor’ franchise, and sponsored by The Hollywood Radio & Television Society, it featured: Thom Beers (‘Deadliest Catch’), Mark Cronin (‘The Surreal Life’), Jason Goldberg (‘Punk’d), Randy Jackson (‘America’s Best Dance Crew’), Craig Piligian (‘Ghost Hunters’), and SallyAnn Salsano (‘Jersey Shore’).

Harrison, who is funny and quick and asks great questions, deserves his own talk show. For handling a crowd that steered the conversation towards breast implants and restraining orders and took swipes at network executives and Hollywood agents, Harrison deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Or, at least, a Peabody.

Alternatively raucous and thoughtful, the panel discussion is worth sharing with you. And we will. The transcribing is just taking a bit longer than we anticipated.

In the meantime, watch this short video taken minutes before the panel at the Beverly Hilton. It contains interviews with Harrison, Salsano, Beers and Jackson. The three panelists discussed what being chosen as panelists means to them and what they expected from Harrison as the moderator.

One thing we are pretty sure of is that no one expected Goldberg to declare himself a ‘virgin’ numerous times during the panel discussion. More on this later.
